“With this one astonishing claim, Erin O’Toole let us all down.”
Such goes the bi-line from an article in the Toronto Star. In case readers are not aware, the Toronto Star hates Erin O’Toole. What his claim is doesn’t matter, nor does the fact that he didn’t let all Canadians down.
What really matters is that media battering ram TorStar despise the Conservative Party, as well as “small-c” conservatives in general. The same applies to all mainstream media outlets in our country.
Speaking at a virtual event with Nova Scotia chambers of commerce, O’Toole said Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has done little to stop the U.S. from pursuing punitive policies. O’Toole pointed to a list of grievances, including recent hikes to softwood lumber tariffs and an ongoing dispute over P.E.I. potatoes.
But I thought orange man bad? Dementia man worse? They say if you have problems with everyone you know, they aren’t the problem.
As the insipid performance of the head of Canada’s official opposition continues, Canadians are asking themselves, “where is Erin O’Toole?”
To be honest I am convinced he will remain head of the formerly Conservative party. It is up to us to find a home elsewhere.

In a normal world an Ass-clown like O’Toole would be forced to resign the party leadership. But in Canada it’s simply accepted that our political leaders will cultivate the most evil of Muslims.

The federal Conservatives say they will not launch a bid to resurrect a parliamentary committee that probed Canada-China relations for more than eighteen months.
In December, 2019, Conservative MP Erin O’Toole, before he became leader of his party, spearheaded a motion in the Commons to establish the special Committee on Canada-China relations. It was created over the objections of the governing Liberals and with the support of the Bloc Québécois and NDP.
At the time, Mr. O’Toole as the party’s foreign-affairs critic said: “The challenge of the China relationship is the foreign-policy challenge that Canada will face over the next generation.”
Seems odd for a party that claims China interfered in the last election costing the conservatives seats. I guess he doesn’t want to upset the China vote.
As Canadian society progresses toward a condition of authoritarianism, a number of parallels exist between our social structure and that within communist nations.
On this basis, a build-up of “unspoken realities” continues to foment. None should be of greater concern than the topic of which entities today control our country.
He lost the last election in every conceivable measure: fewer votes than the Conservative Party of Canada got in 2019, fewer seats, losses in key regions like Toronto and Vancouver, and losses in key demographics like women, new Canadians and particularly Chinese Canadians.
I think “Conservatives” had best look for a different political home.
The CPC is now Liberal 2.0 and that’s not going to change if O’Toole is ousted.

The front page of Tuesday’s National Post highlighted the obvious troubles of Jason Kenney and Erin O’Toole , namely dismal polling numbers and party revolts. But the cause deserves attention too: Both deliberately jettisoned any semblance of principle in pursuit of partisan gain and for some reason aren’t popular with conservatives or voters. Weird, huh?
OTTAWA — Conservative members should be able to vote within the next six months on whether or not Erin O’Toole should remain leader of the party, says one Senator who has launched a quickly contentious petition calling for an expedited leadership review process stating that O’Toole “can’t win the next election.”
OTTAWA — Arguing that Conservative leader Erin O’Toole has betrayed the party’s principles and can’t win the next election, a Conservative senator has launched a petition to have the party’s membership vote on O’Toole’s leadership by no later than June 2022.
The petition, organized by Saskatchewan senator Denise Batters, appears to be the first serious threat to O’Toole’s leadership since the 2021 election concluded on Sept. 20.
