Derek Filderbrandt: Derek Sloan’s exile over $131 from white supremacist doesn’t add up

Derek Filderbrandt: Derek Sloan’s exile over $131 from white supremacist doesn’t add up

Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole’s wants his MPs to kick Derek Sloan out of caucus for accepting a donation to his leadership campaign for $131 from a white supremacist. Whatever one thinks of Sloan, something just doesn’t add up here.

Far-left propaganda website Press Progress said that they have proof that Sloan accepted the donation from a man named Paul Fromm.

It adds up when you understand that the “braintrust” running the CPC are looking to simultaneously rid themselves of what they consider to be the ideological riff-raff of conservatism and ingratiate themselves with Canada’s media. They really think this will work for them. Yes they are that thick. As noted before the CPC is like the pre-Trump Republicans, self-serving careerists looking for their shot at the public teat.

Tory MP Sloan accuses party of hypocrisy over efforts to have him expelled

Tory MP Sloan accuses party of hypocrisy over efforts to have him expelled

OTTAWA — Ontario Conservative MP Derek Sloan could be expelled from his party’s caucus as early as Tuesday for accepting a donation to his leadership campaign from a white supremacist.

But Sloan accused the party of hypocrisy, saying that Paul Fromm, who has been associated with Neo Nazis for years, was a party member and voted in last year’s leadership contest — a fact that would have been known to all candidates, including eventual winner Erin O’Toole, as well as the party itself.

O’Toole seeks to boot Ontario MP Derek Sloan from Conservative caucus… forgets media will still treat him like dogshit

OTTAWA — Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole says he wants Ontario MP Derek Sloan kicked out of the party caucus over a donation to his leadership campaign from a white supremacist.

I’m no fan of Fromm but this seems an honest mistake by Sloan that’s being taken advantage of by the pissants running the CPC to ingratiate themselves with the media who’ll still treat them like dogshit.

No one likes a weasel.

No place for Conservatives in Conservative Party, leader Erin O’Toole says

No place for Conservatives in Conservative Party, leader Erin O’Toole says

OTTAWA — Federal Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole says there is “no place for conservatives” in the party.

O’Toole made the declaration in a statement today in which he lists the numerous ways that he has sought to make the Tories more inclusive and moderate since becoming leader in August.

“Our party believes it’s racist to oppose unwarranted mass immigration that offers no benefit to Canadian citizens. Canada’s oligarchs cry themselves to sleep at night worried they’ll wake up one day and no longer be able to suppress wages” said an impassioned O’Toole.

“And another thing, diversity and multiculturalism are key to our divide and conquer platform, and we model ourselves on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s culture. Conservatives say that’s crazy! We can’t allow haters like that a voice in our party.”

A self-identified Platypussian O’Toole also announced plans to make it mandatory that all citizens carry a government issued Otherkin identity card and floated the idea of making it a hate crime for heterosexuals to refuse the sexual advances of the transgendered at which point the 450 CBC reporters in attendance burst out in cheers.

He also announced a name change to Justin and encourages everyone to buy a cool “Justin” wig or style their own hair to match.

COMMENTARY: Don’t call me Canada’s Donald Trump, Erin O’Toole says

Erin O’Toole wants you to know that he’s not Canada’s version of Donald Trump and that his Conservative Party is nothing like Trump’s bitterly divided Republicans.

O’Toole’s assurances come after Justin Trudeau’s Liberals launched a new effort to brand O’Toole and the Conservatives as “Trump North.”

WTF?? MacDougall: Erin O’Toole needs to get the Trumpists out of the Canadian Conservative movement

WTF?? MacDougall: Erin O’Toole needs to get the Trumpists out of the Canadian Conservative movement

With the federal cabinet now rebuilt and the prime minister eyeing a potential election, we can now consider what is to be done about the fanatics and racists who make up the modern Conservative Party of Canada.

Apologies, I slipped into Liberal character there for a second, previewing what will surely be Justin Trudeau’s preferred line of attack. And while I’m hopeful that an election in the midst of a global pandemic will focus on high-minded questions of public policy, the Liberal predilection for poking the alt-right and social conservative bears (and the media’s appetite to cover it) will win out, as surely as Donald Trump avoids responsibility.

Not that I care. The Conservative party was dead to me already. Liberal or Conservative? Same crap different pile.

Federal Conservatives rule out working with right-wing Rebel News

Mr. O’Toole’s office participated in an interview with Rebel News on Mr. O’Toole’s behalf. After it was published on Monday, Mr. O’Toole’s office said it would no longer respond to the controversial group and the Leader would not do interviews with them either.

Rex Murphy: A question for Erin O’Toole and the Conservative party

Rex Murphy: A question for Erin O’Toole and the Conservative party

Why is it necessary or laudable for Canada to pulverize its major resources, wound Canadian agriculture to its heart, for the sake of a Liberal charade?

It would be quite wonderful to hear the Conservative party’s clear stance on the whole notion of apocalyptic anthropogenic global warming. Especially on that version of it which is touted by its most recognizable advocates, everyone from Greta Thunberg to Elizabeth May to all the clamorous NGOs and the Hollywood intelligentsia.

Does the Conservative party stand in accord with the dire warnings, that we “have but 10 years left” to save the world, that industrial civilization as we know it must be refashioned completely, and the production and use of all fossil fuels cease and be banned?
