How many churches, Catholic, Protestant or other, on Indigenous lands or off, have been vandalized, severely damaged or burnt straight to the ground in recent weeks? By my count, it’s been more than 20. In a strong column in the Post last week, Melissa Mbarki of the Macdonald-Laurier Institute wrote that 10 churches were vandalized in Alberta on Canada Day alone. That figure should be — is — astonishing.
It’s OK because the Liberal government and their media lackeys say its OK.

Rather than calling an election, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau would rather spare the Liberal Party the expense by flitting about like the candy man making election-style announcements on the taxpayer’s dime.
On May 1 2020 the Canadian Liberal Government announced an Order In Council (OIC) firearms prohibition. As part of this order the Government implemented an amnesty period (ending April 30 2022) to allow legal firearms owners the time necessary to become compliant with the new law. They also announced that they would introduce a buy-back program for the legal firearms owners affected by the OIC.
Since the mention of the buy-back program, there have been many questions around how much this federal buy-back would cost Canadians. Well, as of June 29 2021, the Parliamentary Budget Officer (PBO) has finally released their report on what they estimate the cost of this program to be. Spoiler alert, it’s not cheap. They’re estimating a cost that ranges between $47 million to $756 million.
Both the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) and the Canadian Constitution Foundation (CCF) have condemned the bill as dangerous and infringing on Canadians’ rights.
The Trudeau government says new regulations forcing federally regulated companies to provide pay equity to men and women will start taking effect at the end of August. Those businesses will have three years to make sure they are in line with the rules.
Last week, the Trudeau Government received Royal Assent for the Canadian Net-Zero Emissions Accountability Act.
