Border left ‘wide open’ after red states pull National Guard and police

MCALLEN, Texas — The swarm of National Guard soldiers and state police that governors sent to guard the Texas-Mexico border earlier this summer are gone, leaving the border effectively unmanned with just 6% of the reinforcements left behind.

“We used to have a National Guard posted there,” Border Patrol agent Chris Cabrera told the Washington Examiner while driving along a dirt road that runs parallel with the border near the Hidalgo port of entry late one evening recently. “There was another one right over here, but they took that guy, too.”

Supreme Court to consider Boston Marathon bomber’s fate

The Biden administration will try to convince the nation’s highest court next week to reinstate the death penalty for convicted Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, arguing a jury doesn’t need to examine evidence the feds relied on during an earlier phase of the case.

Tsarnaev’s guilt in the horrific attack near the finish line of the 2013 marathon, which killed three and injured 260 people, won’t be at issue when justices for the US Supreme Court hear the case Wednesday. The only question before the justices is whether the 28-year-old should be sentenced to life in prison, or death.

‘We Are Ready for War’: Leader of Migrant Caravan Says Nothing Will Get in His Way of Making It to US

An army of 60,000 illegal aliens, mostly Haitians, is expected to flood the U.S. border in the coming weeks, and a second caravan is waiting in the wings preparing to further barrage the United States.

One of the people spearheading the next migrant invasion is Irineo Mujica, a dual citizen of Mexico and the United States who is director of the leftist advocacy group Pueblo Sin Fronteras (People Without Borders), Border Report revealed Tuesday.

Mujica warned that he and his caravan of illegal aliens “are ready for war” and will reach the United States with or without the consent of governments standing in their way.

American Forces Have Been Quietly Deployed To Taiwan With Increasing Regularity: Report

A new report from The Wall Street Journal says that contingents of U.S. special operations forces and U.S. Marines have been making more regular rotational deployments to Taiwan for at least a year now. This news comes a day after Chiu Kuo Cheng, the island’s defense minister, said publicly that Chinese forces would be capable of launching a “full-scale” invasion operation across the Taiwan Strait with far fewer risks than they face now by 2025.

South China Sea: US submarine collides with unknown object

A US nuclear submarine hit an “unknown object” while submerged in waters in the Asia-Pacific region, injuring a number of sailors, US officials say.

It was not clear what caused the incident on Saturday, they said. The submarine remained “fully operational”.

Unnamed officials told US media the collision happened in international waters in the South China Sea, and that 11 sailors had been injured.

The incident happened amid rising tensions in the region.

Victor Davis Hanson: ‘Open Borders,‘ ‘Globalism,‘ ‘Tribalism‘ Are Reminiscent of Rome‘s Collapse

“Every nation that has survived has had borders that were defensible and clear, and the idea was that they have their own space to inculcate their language or traditions or customs, then enhance their constitution. Without that, it’s just short of a migratory, 5th century A.D. Rome where people come across the Danube River and destroy the nation-state.”

Democrats’ quagmire of Jew hatred

THERE is a sickness overshadowing the US, and it’s not Covid-19. The last year has seen an unprecedented rise in anti-Semitism. The Democratic Party, dominated by socialists and Islamists united by their hatred of Jews, have certainly contributed to this.

The Democrats excel in toxic rhetoric against the Jewish state. At the start of 2019, I noted that with the election of Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib into Congress, the party turned into an anti-Semitic cult…

If America’s going to split apart, here’s what will happen to you

When Abraham Lincoln spoke the prophetic words “a house divided against itself cannot stand” — in a speech before the Illinois Republican state convention in 1858 — he was a relatively unknown politician.  He saw the obvious: North and South were hopelessly divided over the issue of slavery — or more fundamentally, states’ rights — and a breakup was all but unavoidable.  This came to pass in just a few years’ time in the form of the Civil War.

An Afghanistan Grows In Wisconsin

Biden didn’t withdraw from Afghanistan. He brought Afghanistan to America.

The skies over Sparta have never been as busy as when the Biden administration decided to dispatch 13,000 Afghans, including at least one pedophile, to Wisconsin.

Sparta, a small town of less than ten thousand souls, whose claim to fame is being the “Bicycling Capital of America”, could only watch as a population of Afghans outnumbering its own population created a new Afghanistan on the premises of Fort McCoy.

Biden administration fights to keep details of CIA torture of detainee secret

The US supreme court is set to hear arguments about the government’s ability to keep what it says are “state secrets” from a Palestinian man who endured brutal torture by the CIA following 9/11 and is now held at Guantánamo Bay.

At the center of the case being heard on Wednesday is whether Abu Zubaydah, who was captured in Pakistan in 2002, can get information related to his detention.

Zubaydah and his lawyer want to question two former CIA contractors about Zubaydah’s time at a secret CIA facility in Poland where they say he was held and tortured.
