“Some people are just born that way” is a well-known description of a troubled person’s behaviour. After witnessing six-years of Justin Trudeau as prime minister, it is difficult to find a more appropriate summation.
Is there any corner of our government bureaucracy that isn’t overrun with woke, partisan operatives seeking to enact their political agendas? I think we all know the answer to that, and the latest example comes via the FTC moving to “investigate” Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter on…anti-trust grounds?
This comes after Democrats and their media allies have spent the last few weeks absolutely losing their minds over the fact that conservatives might have a single platform that doesn’t bias their policies against them.
A Department of National Defence (DND) advisory panel has recommended barring individuals from the military chaplaincy whose organized religion’s beliefs do not align with the department’s equality and social justice values.
The Minister of National Defence Advisory Panel on Systemic Racism and Discrimination’s Final Report for January 2022 reads that “(i)t is necessary to recognize that for some Canadians religion can be a source of suffering and generational trauma. This is especially true for many lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and two-spirited members of Canadian society.”
The panel’s first of four recommendations – contained beneath the heading of “Re-Defining Chaplaincy” – is blunt.
“Do not consider for employment as spiritual guides or multi-faith representatives Chaplaincy applicants affiliated with religious groups whose values are not aligned with those of the Defence Team.”
It’s not every day a public school board announces its intentions to take a butcher knife to Canada’s arts sector, kneecap the country’s growing athletic prowess, obliterate its own educational offerings and cede territory to the private sector.

Students at a Wisconsin high school say a statue of a ghost riding a horse evokes the Ku Klux Klan and want it removed.
The “Galloping Ghost” is the mascot of Kaukauna High School in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, and a bronze statue of a horse riding phantasm has adorned the campus grounds since 2000.

The recording of ‘non-crime hate incidents’ has got to stop.
In a world where ever more menacing, Orwellian terms are created by the day, there are still few that are more terrifying than ‘non-crime hate incident’ (NCHI).
The evil of the term is two-fold. Firstly, the word ‘hate’ reminds us that the state reserves the right to legally classify certain emotions as criminal. So-called hate crimes carry longer sentences, based on the identity of the victim and the prejudices of the perpetrator.
We are living in Orwellian times.
Tech plutocrat Elon Musk announces he is buying Twitter to liberate this “virtual town square” from one-sided political censorship – and he is met with hysterical charges that he is attacking free speech. A woman who reposts TikTok videos of “woke” teachers bragging about their sexualize of children in their classrooms, is attacked by a Washington Post reporter who harasses the woman’s family in order to silence an enemy of “free speech” and purveyor of “hate” – just days after the reporter appeared in a video and bursts into tears over getting the same treatment she later inflicts on the anonymous creator of Libs on TikTok.
Friday on FNC’s ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) discussed his state government’s decision to eliminate Disney’s Reedy Creek Improvement District, which gave the multinational corporation the ability to self-govern.

As a fleet sailor for over thirty years, I saw our Navy and other branches military up close and personal. Yes, when I raised my right hand in 1970 to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America,” there were still vestiges of racism and discrimination in all the services. Perhaps there was more in the tradition-bound Navy than in any other branch — stewards were either Filipino or Black, and there were very few minority commanding officers, let alone admirals. That has changed dramatically in the last fifty years.

Those unthinking critics of Western civilisation who claim that everything about it is reprehensible and nothing good has ever come out of it have developed a pattern with the extraordinary claims they make.
Their technique is to zoom in on Western behaviour, remove it from the context of the time, set aside any non-Western parallels and then exaggerate what the West actually did.
The result has been a stampede inside the West to rid itself of its own history.
