One of the British Army’s most famous victories, now the Queen’s Rorke’s Drift painting gets a ‘colonial violence’ warning

A royal painting of the Battle of Rorke’s Drift has had its description updated to acknowledge its links to imperialism.

It is among 62 works in the Royal Collection to be amended in the wake of the Black Lives Matter campaign.

Part of the Anglo-Zulu war of 1879, Rorke’s Drift saw 141 British soldiers defend a field hospital against an attack from 4,000 warriors.

Woke Canadian judge says lawyers and their clients must state their pronouns when introduced to the court

The chief judge of the Provincial Court of British Columbia is hoping the madly PC move “improves experiences within the legal system for gender diverse parties and lawyers,” because heaven forbid anyone misgenders a murderer.

Who does this guy think he is?

The Provincial Court of British Columbia hears 95 percent of all criminal cases in the Canadian province. Murderers, rapists, petty criminals, and parking offenders all have their day before its judges, with the most serious cases kicked upward to the Supreme Court of Canada.

Chief Judge Melissa Gillespie, however, is apparently tired of seeing defendants misgendered.

In his court my pronouns would be “Melissa is an evil piece of shit”

Fighting systemic racism, extremism will be priority for next military chief: Trudeau

OTTAWA — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says one of the top priorities for the next commander of the Canadian Armed Forces will be tackling systemic racism and rooting extremism from the ranks.

The comments are the first from the prime minister since Gen. Jonathan Vance announced in July that he was preparing to step down after more than five years as Canada’s chief of the defence staff.

This has nothing to do with racism but it does outline the extremist views of the Lib-Left and their determined effort to degrade Canada’s military and destroy it as an institution.

San Francisco to rename Abraham Lincoln High School because former president did not demonstrate that ‘black lives mattered to him’

A San Francisco district is planning to rename a school named after Abraham Lincoln because the former president did not demonstrate that ‘black lives mattered to him’.

The president, who is often held up as an American hero for abolishing slavery, is just one of 44 historical figures soon to have their names scratched off schools within the San Francisco Unified School District.

Other names include George Washington, Herbert Hoover and Senator Dianne Feinstein, whose name will be stripped from the Dianne Feinstein Elementary School for allowing the Confederate flag to fly outside City Hall back in 1984 when she was mayor.

Do John Cleese’s critics understand comedy?

The Python has always been an anarchist rather than a liberal, like the artform itself

You have to wonder whether the people who are mad at John Cleese are actually aware of who John Cleese is. It started, as these things apparently must, with J. K. Rowling. In September, Cleese signed an open letter protesting the death threats she was getting. In November, he replied to some tweets written in the typically measured and cool tone of trans activism. They accused him of “standing in solidarity with transphobia and discrimination,” or demanded: “Why the fuck can’t you just let people be who they want to be?”

American High Schools Go Woke: Consultants cash in on radical changes to curricula nationwide

American High Schools Go Woke: Consultants cash in on radical changes to curricula nationwide

In July, the leadership of Los Angeles’s elite Harvard-Westlake School issued a 20-page confessional about the school’s role in perpetuating “racism and injustice” and promised changes. The school, which sends dozens of kids to the Ivy League every year, will now teach 11th-grade U.S. history from a “critical race theory perspective.” And diversity consultancies, which routinely charge six figures for their services, will facilitate the school’s transformation at every step.

The Rich Kids Who Want to Tear Down Capitalism

Socialist-minded millennial heirs are trying to live their values by getting rid of their money.

Lately, Sam Jacobs has been having a lot of conversations with his family’s lawyers. He’s trying to gain access to more of his $30 million trust fund. At 25, he’s hit the age when many heirs can blow their money on harebrained businesses or a stable of sports cars. He doesn’t want to do that, but by wealth management standards, his plan is just as bad. He wants to give it all away.

“I want to build a world where someone like me, a young person who controls tens of millions of dollars, is impossible,” he said.

A socialist since college, Mr. Jacobs sees his family’s “extreme, plutocratic wealth” as both a moral and economic failure. He wants to put his inheritance toward ending capitalism, and by that he means using his money to undo systems that accumulate money for those at the top, and that have played a large role in widening economic and racial inequality.
