Trump White House Asks Public To Report Social Media Sites If ‘Suspended, Banned’ For Being Conservative

“The Trump Administration is fighting for free speech online. No matter your views, if you suspect political bias has caused you to be censored or silenced online, we want to hear about it!” the White House wrote on its official Twitter account, which has 18.5 million followers.

Mark Zuckerberg’s ‘hate ban’ isn’t about safety — it’s about his own ego

Facebook on Thursday announced that a small assortment of kooks — Alex Jones, Laura Loomer, Milo Yiannopoulos, Paul Joseph Watson, Paul Nehlen, Louis Farrakhan — will be permanently banned from Facebook, Instagram and other platforms it controls. Jones’ publication, Infowars, also will be banned. Praise of these figures, and expressions of support for them, also are to be prohibited.

Mark Zuckerberg Proposes Regulating Political Discussion, Immigration Debate

In a Good Morning America interview with George Stephanopoulos, Thursday, Zuckerberg declared, “All of the laws around political advertising today primarily focus on a candidate and an election, right, so, ‘Vote for this candidate in this election.’ But that’s not, primarily, what we saw Russia trying to do and other folks who were trying to interfere in elections. And what we saw them doing was talking about divisive political issues.”

GOP Senator Puts Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey on Notice: Time for a ‘Third-Party Audit’ of De-Platforming Policies

Conservatives have long complained about seemingly arbitrary suspensions of their accounts — most of which come with no explanation or meaningful ability to appeal. Most recently, the Twitter account for the pro-life movie Unplanned was suspended just as the movie was hitting theaters. When the account was restored, its administrators discovered that nearly 100,000 followers had disappeared. Users (myself included) reported trying to follow the account and immediately being forced to unfollow.

Trudeau government continues to push for social media censorship of ‘fake news’ when it fails to distinguish fact from fiction

Last week Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale said the Trudeau government is looking “very, very carefully” at forcing social media companies to censor “toxic communications” on their platforms.

Goodale’s cryptic comments are just the latest refrain from a government that has continually pushed for censorship on social media — where most Canadians spend the majority of their time online.

But what exactly the Liberals’ definition of “toxic communications” or “fake news” is still up in the air.

Facebook, YouTube blindsided by mosque shooter’s live video

Social media platforms including Facebook are facing harsher scrutiny after a shooter accused of killing 40 people in two mosques in New Zealand appeared to livestream the murders over the internet.

While platforms including Twitter and YouTube said they moved fast to remove the content, users reported it was still widely available hours after being first uploaded to the alleged shooter’s Facebook account. The video, which shows a first-person view of the killings in Christchurch, New Zealand, was readily accessible during and after the attack – as was the suspect’s hate-filled manifesto.

Watch as the calls for a benevolent totalitarian censorship rise.

Facebook and Twitter consult with terror-tied CAIR over who gets banned from platforms

The Hamas-tied Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), which is best known as an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing case in U.S. history, appears to have access to high-ranking Facebook and Twitter executives and has communicated with these individuals about who should be allowed to stay on their platforms, according to a Wall Street Journal report published Tuesday.

Twitter Allows ‘Verified’ Calls for Violence Against Conservative High School Kids

Twitter has spent years assuring the public that it will crack down on trolling, harassment, and violent threats. It’s also pledged to tackle “misinformation” and “unhealthy conversation,” using these loaded terms as excuses to ban a wide range of anti-progressive dissidents from the platform.

SPLC Leads Soros-Funded Groups in ‘Orwellian’ Attempt to Ban ‘Hate Speech’ on Social Media

Last week, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) teamed up with five other groups funded by George Soros to pressure tech companies to “reduce hateful activities on their platforms.” While this sounds like a noble goal, mainstream conservative and Christian groups that have fallen afoul of the SPLC warned that these liberal organizations have an “Orwellian” definition of hate that most Americans would disagree with. Worse, social media companies already seem biased against conservatives, and this SPLC campaign would only embolden that bias.

@Censorship: Twitter Bans 10 Conservatives Accounts; Won’t Give Reason Why

At approximately 9 pm eastern on October 2, ten conservative twitter accounts owned by ten different entities were suspended by Twitter. When the account owners contacted Twitter to get the details of what they supposedly did wrong and appeal the punishment, no reason was provided. Instead, the “bluebirds of punishment” sent them notices that they were permanently banned.
