The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation is refusing to release an internal document that allegedly outlines which public figures its journalists are discouraged from interviewing, even after a former host told MPs the network maintained a blacklist of dozens of names.
During testimony before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage, former CBC-TV host Travis Dhanraj said newsroom staff relied on an internal guide titled Parameters For Political Guests that restricted who could appear on certain programs.

Though the regime’s capabilities to conduct mayhem seem diminished, its efforts persist.
In Tehran back in the spring of 1992, I interviewed Ali Akbar Mohtashami, the hardline cleric who cofounded Hezbollah in Lebanon and helped carry out the devastating suicide car-bomb attacks in Beirut that killed 241 U.S. Marines in 1983. I recalled his pride in Iran’s attacks and his vow to continue them until Israel was destroyed, its Jews “sent back to the countries they came from,” and Iran had built its own nuclear bombs. As long as Israel existed and there were revolutionaries in Tehran, he told me, there would be “no Americans in Iran and no peace with America.”
Though Mohtashami died of Covid-19 in 2021, I will never forget his determination, and that of other senior Iranians I interviewed on my trips to Iran, to destroy Israel and humiliate America.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Prime Minister Mark Carney announced byelections scheduled for April 13 in three ridings on Sunday, and if his party wins all three, the Liberals will secure a one-seat majority in Parliament.
Two Ontario seats, in Scarborough Southwest and University–Rosedale, are vacant due to the resignations of Liberal MPs Bill Blair and Chrystia Freeland, while the seat in Terrebonne, Quebec, is empty because the 2025 vote result was annulled by the Supreme Court.

DUBAI — The International Energy Agency on Wednesday announced that it would carry out its largest-ever release of oil reserves — 400 million barrels — in a bid to control spiking energy prices caused by the United States-Israel war against Iran, which shows no signs of slowing as it ends its 12th day.
The plan, aimed at stabilizing oil prices that have soared since the United States and Israel attacked Iran on Feb. 28, came as Iranian leaders declared they were widening their assault on countries in the Persian Gulf, aiming to raise the economic price of the U.S.-Israeli military campaign to oust the government in Tehran.

A new survey suggests a significant share of older Canadians are struggling to meet basic needs, with one in five people aged 50 and older experiencing a standard of living comparable to the poverty line.
The findings are from the National Institute on Ageing (NIA) and its 2025 Ageing in Canada survey, which examines the financial and social wellbeing of more than 6,000 Canadians aged 50 and older.
The report found 20 per cent of respondents were experiencing “material deprivation,” meaning they struggle to afford essential goods and services.

Sudan’s ongoing civil war is not just a clash between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and their former military allies-turned rivals, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). It is a calculated power grab by the Sudanese Muslim Brotherhood, recently listed by the US as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT). The US announced plans to formally classify the group as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) starting March 16, 2026, and accused it of carrying out mass violence against civilians during Sudan’s ongoing war. Meanwhile, the terrorist organization appears to be using the SAF as a Trojan horse to dominate northeast Africa and the Red Sea – a critical artery for global commerce.

United States customs officers conducted a record number of searches of electronic devices last year of people travelling to the U.S., and a recent update to its directives adds new devices such as smart watches, SIM cards and flash drives to the list of things subject to search.
Officers searched 55,318 computers, cellphones and other devices in 2025, up 17.6 per cent from the 47,047 devices searched in 2024 and up 32.4 per cent from the 41,767 devices searched in 2023, according to statistics from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

Three brothers have been arrested in Norway linked to an explosion outside the US embassy in the capital, Oslo, on Sunday.
The authorities believe the blast was caused by an improvised device that was placed at the building’s entrance. It caused minor damage and no injuries were reported.
The brothers, all in their 20s, are Norwegian citizens with links to Iraq, Norway’s police attorney Christian Hatlo told a press conference on Wednesday.

Seventeen Pride organizations in B.C. are calling on a member of the legislature to resign, citing a bill she introduced to repeal the province’s Human Rights Code as the latest example in a troubling pattern.
MLA Tara Armstrong rose in the legislature last month to introduce the Human Rights Code Repeal Act. The code protects people from discrimination based on characteristics including sex, race, disability, family status, sexual orientation, gender identity, political belief, and religion.

Attorney General Pam Bondi has moved to a military base in Washington, D.C., after federal investigators flagged credible threats related to her work at the Justice Department, the New York Times reports. The move happened within the past month, after law enforcement warned her team that the danger had reached a level serious enough to force action.

The City of Toronto’s lawyers say Daniel Tate can’t treasure their trash.
Last year, Tate started selling T-shirts bearing the old Yonge-Dundas Square logo on his IntegrityTO website, which he uses to advocate for his accountability-first brand of politics. In addition to hosting petitions and political news clippings, Tate, a regular public speaker at Toronto City Hall committee meetings, sells a small collection of merchandise.

More than 400 criminal illegal aliens charged with or convicted of child sex crimes have been arrested in Houston, Texas, and an official stated parents can “sleep a little better” knowing those individuals are no longer a threat to their families.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced Monday that ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Houston arrested 414 of the illegals during President Donald Trump’s first year back in office.
