Muskoka residents were baffled. As thick wildfire smoke descended from Northern Ontario in mid-July, producing a mysterious daytime fog, RCMP boats with powerful triple-400 engines emerged in the heart of cottage country.

The locals were curious: Was it a training operation? A bust of some sort? Security for someone special?

By late Thursday, they had their answer. Prime Minister Mark Carney was coming to town, visiting the JW Marriott resort on Lake Rosseau, and his public schedule later revealed he attended an annual conference that brings together chief executives, wealthy entrepreneurs, top politicians, world-renowned scientists and venture capitalists. They call it The Dock.

Stupid Shit Andrew Coyne Says: “Canadian conservatives have a patriotism problem”

Sunny Hostin Blasted Privilege for Years, Then Got Caught Using Her Own

Sunny Hostin has built a nice little side career out of diagnosing other people’s privilege. So when police caught her 24-year-old son wandering around active Metro-North railroad tracks in New Rochelle last month, you’d think the The View co-host and former federal prosecutor would have let the process play out. Instead, bodycam footage shows her doing exactly the thing she’s spent years telling America is a problem when other people do it.

It’s been the deathly, censorious chorus of the police, politicians and every media prick since Ann Widdecombe’s body was discovered at her home in Dartmoor last week. Don’t speculate. Don’t be a conspiracy theorist. Don’t exploit this tragedy. Don’t say it was political. Don’t call it terrorism. On and on they droned. And yet now it seems the ‘speculators’, those defamed as fantastists, may have been on to something.

When violence stops shocking us, something deeper is broken

Toronto is a city that prides itself on safety, diversity, and the ability to gather without fear. But on Saturday night, during the Salsa on St. Clair festival, that sense of ease was shattered. Multiple people were shot. Two died at the scene. Police urged the public to avoid the area as officers secured the intersection and searched for answers.

The tragedy is real. The grief is real. But what worries me even more is what this event reveals about the cultural climate we’ve been drifting toward for years — a climate where violence no longer shocks us the way it should.

Toronto remains a relatively safe city by North American standards and the Salsa shooting may have been Protestant gunplay for all we know.

But diversity is not a strength. It’s the reason why we aren’t “shocked” in our balkanized metropolis.

Most of Toronto’s gun crime is committed by “racialized” communities who don’t play by our rules.

The usual suspects make the news often enough to end anyone’s shock.

So long as they aren’t shooting up your tribe or mine ain’t nobody gonna care.

Henry Nowak, Stephen Ogilvie, and the betrayal of Western societies by globalist elites

The brutal, senseless murder of 18-year-old Henry Nowak by Vickrum Digwa in the U.K. has shocked the Western world.

What angered so many British citizens – as well as Europeans and even Americans – is the callous manner in which the British police doubted and downplayed Digwa’s version of events and even handcuffed the dying and bleeding Nowak because of his killer’s false accusations of “racism.”

FERGUSON: Canadians should reject the attempt to minimize their history and culture

Recent statements by Canadian politicians show that the Canadian political class wishes for Canadians to apologize for their history and minimize the qualities of their culture. Contrary to those statements, Canadians have little to apologize for and much to be proud of. Former prime minister Justin Trudeau famously remarked that Canada is a “post-national state without an identity.” Current Prime Minister Mark Carney recently remarked while in Ireland for the G7 summit that Canada is “a mosaic of cultures, not a melting pot.” In 2025, BC New Democratic MLA Rohini Arora said that Canadians should consider themselves to be “colonizers.” When Trudeau says that Canada does not have an identity, it minimizes the historical exceptionalism and qualities Canada has. As the current Prime Minister is attending an international event peddling Canada as a middle power, he is making the case that all cultures are compatible with Canadian culture. The comments from the New Democratic MLA in BC attempt to ensure that Canadians think their culture is so inferior to other cultures that Canadians should only consider themselves to be colonizers.
