Poilievre became the focus of a public clash on Thursday with former B.C. Conservative leadership candidate Caroline Elliott, who narrowly lost a provincial contest this past spring to former federal Conservative MP Kerry-Lynne Findlay.
This rash of Poilievre must go hit pieces seems more a collaboration between Carney’s media and the Uniparty than a populist ground swell.

Eight charged with murder conspiracy over alleged White House UFC attack plot
Eight men were indicted on murder and terrorism conspiracy charges Thursday for their alleged roles in a thwarted drone and sniper attack on the UFC cage-fighting show staged at the White House in June.
The indictment, returned in Ohio, charges all eight in two separate conspiracies, one to provide material support to terrorists and a second to commit murder on federal government territory and to murder a federal government official.
According to the indictment, the plot began in May, when the group began amassing money, firearms, ammunition, body armor, explosives, drones, medical equipment, communications equipment and other items.

Members of Ontario’s trucking industry say they understand why Quebec will require inexperienced drivers from Ontario to take practical exams, citing concerns over insufficient training.

Some schools that offer training in Ontario — the first province to introduce mandatory entry-level training for truckers — have been found by Ontario’s auditor general to be cutting corners, and Rahim says that’s been a serious concern for the reputation of all schools and for road safety.

A Brampton man known as “King” was sentenced Thursday to 20 years in a Los Angeles prison after pleading guilty this year to orchestrating the transportation of massive amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine from the United States into Canada using long‑haul truckers.
Guramrit Sidhu, 63, ran a cross‑border network of truck drivers who made repeated trips through the Detroit–Windsor Tunnel, the Buffalo-Lake Erie Peace Bridge and the Blue Water Bridge, linking Port Huron, Mich., and Point Edward, Ont. The drugs originated in Mexico and were transferred to Los Angeles for distribution, where Canadians would co-ordinate the north-bound deliveries.
