Woman, 40, is arrested over ‘acid attack’ as 40-year-old man is rushed to hospital and road closed

A 40-year-old woman has been arrested over a suspected acid attack after a man was rushed to hospital.

Emergency services were called to an address in Crawley, West Sussex, just after 5am on Sunday morning.

The 40-year-old man is being treated for his injuries while the suspect was also taken to hospital.

Police said that a man in his mid-teens had a substance thrown at him after getting into an argument with a man.

A 22-year-old man who allegedly robbed several businesses in Brampton at knifepoint has been arrested.

Toronto police have charged a taxi driver with sexual assault.

Police said they received a call for a sexual assault in the area of Market Street and The Esplanade on Friday.

A 32-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder after a woman was found dead in a downtown Toronto residence in late 2025, police officers say.

It was on Dec. 19 when Toronto police officers said Himanshi Khurana was reported missing.

The following day, investigators said they found the 30-year-old woman’s body at a home near Strachan Avenue and Wellington Street West. Khurana’s death was subsequently ruled a homicide.
