A nonpartisan entity charged with reviewing misconduct allegations has cleared Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) of wrongdoing in connection with documents she submitted to Congress that dramatically overstated her wealth.
The Office of Congressional Conduct, which reviews allegations concerning House members and staff, made the determination after opening an investigation into Omar earlier this year. The findings, marked confidential, were viewed by The Wall Street Journal.
“We need your voice,” Abdul El-Sayed told a sex offender who had been sentenced to prison for sexually soliciting what he thought was a 14-year-old girl online and then for “distributing child sexually abusive material and multiple counts of accosting children for immoral purposes.”
Abdul El-Sayed has plenty to worry about in his Michigan Senate campaign.
First of all, he’s a radical socialist. Secondly, he’s an Islamist. Lastly, and maybe worst of all, he wears pink trash bags and looks like an “oompa loompa.”
In the United States, there are numerous criminal actions that will earn you a deserved spot among the lowest of the low. Beyond the world of law enforcement, however, there are other social and cultural wrongdoings that in this country, you just don’t do, or else risk the dreaded backlash.
This week, CBS’s Bari Weiss apparently committed the worst of all these social crimes, and her victim was Abdul el Sayed.
Egyptian-American Muslim and Democrat Michigan Senate nominee Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed (aka Abdul El-Sayed) has been running around for months smearing Vice President JD Vance’s family as racist. Earlier this week, Vance himself struck back. On Wednesday, Vance’s mother, Beverly Vance Adkins, shared her own blunt thoughts.

Whatever one thinks of Mike Rogers, the Republican candidate for Senate from Michigan — he looks good to me — many people see the most important task as preventing his opponent, the anti-Israel Muslim Abdul el-Sayed, from becoming a senator. El-Sayed has denied that the Jewish state has a right to exist. He has repeatedly accused Israel of committing “genocide.” El-Sayed’s birth mother, Fatten Elkomy, worked for the Islamic American Relief Agency, also known as the IARA. The U.S. Treasury Department in 2004 designated the network as an organization supporting terrorism, including support for Osama bin Laden and Hamas. Treasury documents also stated that as early as 2003, the organization was “responsible for moving funds to the Palestinian territories for use in terrorist activities, notably serving as a conduit to Hamas in one Western European country.”
Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic US Senate candidate in Michigan, has hit back at Republican vice-president JD Vance’s onslaught against him, saying it is “evil” to deprive people of healthcare and affordable groceries.
Vance, in a Monday speech that railed against undocumented immigrants, cast El-Sayed as representative of “terrible evil” and as someone who fights for “one group at the expense of others”.
El-Sayed, who would become the first Muslim US senator if he wins in November, accused Vance of a “dog whistle” at the Islamophobic attacks he has faced throughout his campaign.
Vance is right El-Sayed is evil and should be deported.
Michigan’s Democratic US senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed apologized to the state’s Jewish Democratic Caucus on Saturday for comments he made after an attack on a synagogue in March, which he tied to Israel’s actions in the Middle East.
“My comments may have been misconstrued to justify something I did not mean to justify,” El-Sayed told reporters after he addressed the caucus at a party convention in Lansing. “To anyone who feels like my comments might have been hurtful, I’m really sorry. That was not my intention.”
His name is Ro Khanna, and he’s a Democratic congressman representing California’s 17th district in Silicon Valley. Khanna will likely run for president as a long shot for the party nomination, and as a result, he’s attempting to reach as many voters as possible.

The 195-page report from the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy, or ISGAP, examines what it calls “Islamist entryism,” a strategy of gaining influence within established institutions.
Two years ago, Zainab Bibi Ahmed thought she had turned her back on the Democrats for good. Now, she is volunteering for the party’s US Senate nominee in Michigan, Abdul El-Sayed.
Ahmed was one of 100,000 people to vote uncommitted in the February 2024 Democratic Michigan primary, in a bid to send a message to then US president Joe Biden about his support for Israel, as people watched what Amnesty International later called a “live-streamed genocide” in Gaza on their screens.
That November, Ahmed – a resident of Troy, Michigan, and an academic staffer at Wayne State University – opted to vote for the Green party’s Jill Stein amid calls to punish Democrats over the administration’s support for Israel.

They came to support DSA candidates, but they also canvassed for a Senate candidate their own organization had never endorsed. Abdul el Sayed doesn’t call himself a socialist, and the DSA never put its name behind him. Its members showed up anyway.
