Refugees in Four-Star Hotels as Germany’s Bill Hits €193 Million

Germany’s largest cities are shelling out hundreds of millions of euros on housing thousands of refugees in hotels, as local authorities struggle to cope with a lack of social housing and emergency shelters. Despite a decline in the overall number of asylum applications, the inflow of Ukrainian refugees entitled to initial accommodation has left city administrations with little choice but to turn to the private sector.

According to Bild, Germany’s ten largest cities—plus Essen, Dresden, Potsdam, Hanover, Chemnitz, and Rostock—reported that 11,809 refugees were living in hotels and guesthouses at the end of June. The cost in the first half of 2025 alone amounted to more than €193 million.

Even Rosie O’Donnell’s Therapist Thinks She’s Nuts Over Trump

One Donald Trump accomplishment that often goes overlooked is getting Rosie O’Donnell and other unhinged Hollywood has-beens to leave the country. So let’s give credit where credit is due. Of course, even though O’Donnell is no longer stateside, she still desperately clings to relevancy by complaining about President Trump to anyone who will listen.

Trump again floats Canada joining the U.S. as the 51st state

U.S. President Donald Trump said Tuesday he again told some unnamed Canadian official that the country should consider joining the U.S. as the 51st state — returning to the annexationist rhetoric he used earlier in the year and subsequently dropped after Prime Minister Mark Carney was elected.

Speaking to senior military officials at an event in Virginia, Trump said the U.S. is developing the Golden Dome missile defence system and Canada could be covered by it if the country becomes part of the States.

“Canada called me a couple of weeks ago. They want to be part of it. To which I said, well, why don’t you just join our country? Become 51, become the 51st state and you get it for free,” Trump said.

Canada has been deliberately weakened from within.

The immigration flood of incompatible cultures, criminalization of dissent, the denigration of our culture, heritage and values have all been done for a reason.

Our elites seek to rape Canada for their gain and their divide and conquer strategy is working to plan.

Hegseth declares an end to ‘politically correct’ leadership in the US military

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has slammed “fat generals” and diversity initiatives that he says has led to decades of decay in the military.

Mr Hegseth made the comments at a rare gathering of commanders on Tuesday, local time.

“Foolish and reckless political leaders set the wrong compass heading and we lost our way,” Mr Hegseth said as he kicked off the event in Quantico, Virginia.

“We became the ‘Woke Department’. But not anymore.”

The Canadian Armed Forces is a shrinking tribe

With only roughly one in 684 Canadians serving in the regular forces, thinking that the country could mount any meaningful deployment to either Ukraine or Gaza on short notice is reckless.

OTTAWA—Last week, at the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Mark Carney spoke at a conference about peace in Palestine and a two-state solution where he discussed Palestinian statehood.

It was not a surprise that Carney would commit Canada to help implement a two-state solution; however, it was a bit of a shocker that Carney would pledge the use of Canadian troops to help enforce such an agreement.

JK Rowling: Emma Watson poured petrol on trans attacks against me

JK Rowling has accused Emma Watson of “pouring petrol on the flames” when she was suffering death threats over trans rights.
The author rounded on Watson and the other former child stars of the Harry Potter films who disagreed with her criticism of trans ideology, claiming that they were “ignorant” and adding that, unlike them, she “wasn’t a multimillionaire at 14”.

Worth a revisit just to highlight that the ingrates are ungrateful little shits.

Doug Ford Worried He May Have To Do Something Conservative

‘I don’t know who these yahoos are’: Doug Ford dismisses new conservative group Project Ontario

A defensive Premier Doug Ford has dismissed the conservative activist organization Project Ontario as “yahoos” and a “radical right group.”

In the wake of a Star article on the nascent think tank being launched Tuesday at Toronto’s Gardiner Museum, Ford was asked if he were open to any of its right-wing ideas.

“I don’t even know who these guys are. They sound like a bunch of radical rights. You know, folks, I’m not in favour of the radical left and the radical right,” he told reporters Monday in Hamilton.

YouTube to pay $24.5m to settle Trump lawsuit over Capitol riot

YouTube has agreed to pay $24.5m (£18.6m) to settle a lawsuit brought by Donald Trump, filed after the video platform suspended his account in the wake of the 6 January attack on US Capitol.

The settlement from the video streaming giant’s parent company Alphabet – which also owns Google – comes after social media sites X/Twitter and Facebook also agreed to pay Trump for suspending his accounts.

Trump had accused YouTube and other tech companies of political bias, claiming they had unfairly censored conservative voices after the Capitol riot in 2021.

Poilievre claims Christians ‘may be the number 1’ victims of hate-based violence

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre said Monday that Christians and their places of worship are being targeted and, if elected, he will crack down on religion-based hate through tougher sanctions for crimes like arson.

Speaking to reporters at an announcement on food inflation, Poilievre said he has watched with alarm at the “terrible” spate of church burnings, incidents he described as “terrorist attacks” directed at Christians.

They certainly are world wide thanks primarily to Muslims. And I have seen in the press that Church desecrations are treated as mere vandalism by local authorities.

Blogger arrested for sharing anti-Hamas meme — and claims officer didn’t know about terror group’s crimes

A British blogger has been arrested at his home for sharing a meme saying “F–k Hamas.”

Pete North, 47, shared a video of police arriving at his home in Yorkshire late last Thursday and telling him he was being arrested because he “posted something on the internet” which someone from their hate crime team “didn’t appreciate.”

Even though his meme also said “f–k Palestine” and “f–k Islam,” the cops seemed most focused on him offending the terror group behind the Oct. 7 massacre in Israel, North told the Telegraph.
