Leaders of truck convoy protests sought to overthrow government, national security adviser says

“The occupation of Ottawa was dug in. They had supply chains. They had organization. They had funding coming in from across Canada but also other countries,” Ms. Thomas said. “The people who organized that protest – and there were several factions … there is no doubt – came to overthrow the government.”

COVID-19 pandemic has brought out the worst in people, pulled Canadians further apart, survey suggests

Two years of living through the COVID-19 pandemic has left Canadians in a dour mood, with the majority saying the ordeal has significantly disrupted their lives, pulled Canadians further apart, brought out the worst in people and weakened their compassion for one another.

Rex Murphy: ‘Slippages’ in democracy? Justin Trudeau knows a lot about that

Justin Trudeau, not much or frequently given to philosophizing on world affairs, recently gave an address to the Ukrainian community in Etobicoke, Ont. Inevitably it was about Vladimir Putin’s savage war against Ukraine. And yet it had a perhaps unintended reference to our own country.

Russian fury grows over Putin’s madness

The Kremlin is desperately trying to crack down on any dissent to the brutal invasion of Ukraine and a total of 13,500 demonstrators have now been arrested since the war was waged.

Anti-Putin sentiment is also hitting the high street with consumers told to limit the number of items in their shopping baskets as sanctions start to bite.

The New McCarthyism

January 6 is providing a pretext for a politically motivated crackdown on dissent.

Since the storming of the U.S. Capitol by outraged supporters of President Donald Trump on January 6, 2021, the growth of political intolerance in the United States has reached toxic levels. Trump’s adversaries immediately branded the incident as an insurrection and accused the lame duck president of trying to stage a coup to invalidate the results of the 2020 election. Los Angeles Times columnist Doyle McManus warned, in a column headlined “Warning: Jan. 6 was not a one-time event,” that Trump and his right-wing backers might use similar tactics to overturn future elections. With rare exceptions, both the mainstream legacy media and the newer social media powerhouses fully embraced the “insurrection” narrative.

The Coming Medical Dictatorship

On Feb. 10, four Assembly members introduced AB 1993, a bill that would force anybody with a job — whether full-time employees or independent contractors — to prove they were vaccinated against COVID-19. The bill states its provisions would expire when “the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices determines that COVID-19 vaccinations are no longer necessary for the health and safety of individuals.”

Then on Feb. 15, one of the members who introduced that bill proposed AB 2098, which would rescind the medical license of any doctor circulating “misinformation” about COVID-19 or vaccines designed to treat it.

Trudeau hammered over why he invoked Emergencies Act in first place

With Prime Minister Justin Trudeau revoking the Emergencies Act two days after he insisted on keeping it, some politicians are asking what exactly was going on in his head and behind the scenes.

Conservative interim leader Candice Bergen said the decision proves that Trudeau knew all along that it was wrong to implement the never-before-used legislation.

“Trudeau introduced it in the first place for his personal political gain,” said Bergen in a statement on Wednesday. “He revoked it now for the very same reason.”

Freedom Will Win the War Against Fascism

The bitter and unbalanced assaults on the truckers by the Canadian government and its “intelligentsia” are slammed by writer Elizabeth Nickson in her Substack article, “The Reason for the Police Violence is not What You Think.” She describes the contempt these elites have toward those they regard as their underlings. She looks at the self-serving machinations of the ruling class and to what ends they will go in order to protect their gravy train: “The brutality in Ottawa is not a warning. It is a promise, a statement of the future. The working class will end their lives in moldering houses they can’t afford to fix, with minimal health care.”

‘The Situation Is Far Worse’: Jordan Peterson Shared Frightening Warning He Received From Military Source

Jordan Peterson is a serious person. He’s not someone who goes chasing after conspiracy theories. If he says something, you know he’s taken an extended amount of time to think about it. Even debated against himself, probably. If anyone else said a trusted military source told them to take their money out of the banks, I would tell them to log off of Reddit and get some fresh air. That was before Justin Trudeau and the Canadian government gave people reason to believe they should be concerned for their financial future.

Poll Shows A Majority Of U.S. Democrats Have No Problem With Trudeau’s Actions Against Freedom Convoy, Including Freezing Bank Accounts

Yeah, 2/3 of the majority party in the United States thinks it’s totally cool that Justin Castro – I mean Trudeau- is freezing the bank accounts of people donating to the convoy, using police to crack down on protesters, and using emergency powers to exercise authoritarian action against the protestors.

Authoritarianism, Media Propaganda & Repression in Canada

In Canada last week, Trudeau set a historic precedent by declaring a National Emergency on dubious grounds. This act has existed for 34 years without once being invoked, and now the Trudeau government is wielding it as a cudgel against one of the most organized displays of civil disobedience in Canadian history.
