It is rare that a president can show he is living up to the mantle of “leader of the free world” — and even less common for him to do so against the backdrop of his main political rival praising an autocrat.
But that’s what President Joe Biden did during his first State of the Union address, highlighting how he has led the Western world in defending Ukraine against Russia’s invasion.

At least one criminal case that Democrat activists filed against Trump may be ending with a whimper. You may recall that there’s a criminal fraud case against Trump in Manhattan. To the New York Times’ manifest despair, it seems that there is no evidence of an actual crime. Things are so bad that two of the lead prosecutors on the case quit when the district attorney expressed serious doubt in the case.
The two prosecutors leading the Manhattan DA’s investigation into former President Trump and his business abruptly resigned on Wednesday – after having mysteriously stopped presenting evidence to a grand jury a month ago, according to the New York Times, citing people with knowledge of the matter, and suggesting the future of the high-stakes inquiry has been thrown into “serious doubt.”
The Durham deniers’ talking points remain gibberish. They are furiously attempting to hand-wave away the facts the special counsel has found.
Hillary Clinton slammed former President Trump, the GOP and Fox News while speaking at New York Democratic Convention on Thursday.
“We can’t get distracted. Whether it’s by the latest culture war nonsense or some new right-wing lie on Fox or Facebook,” Clinton told the crowd in New York City.
The former secretary of State and presidential nominee went on to allude to Fox News’s coverage of Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.
Justice Minister David Lametti made the remark in an interview with CTV News Channel on Wednesday night, where host Evan Solomon pressed him on whether average citizens who donated to the protests should be worried about account seizures.
‘If you are a member of a pro-Trump movement who is donating hundreds of thousands of dollars, and millions of dollars to this kind of thing, then you ought to be worried,’ said Lametti.

In his latest court filings, special counsel John Durham isn’t just taking down team Clinton’s wall of defense against charges of spying on Donald Trump during the 2016 campaign, but he’s revealing just how vigorously the liberal media worked to hold that wall up.
Over five years, news personalities on the “Big Three” networks and left-leaning cable channels repeatedly dismissed the charges. “There was no spying” was heard as often as Trump’s claim of “fake news.”

Ray Epps, the Arizona man at the center of claims that FBI informants provoked the Capitol riot, is scheduled to sit down for a transcribed interview with the Jan. 6 House select committee Friday.

Two elements are indispensable to the crime of seditious conspiracy. First, there must be an agreement to use force, as opposed to protesting peacefully — even if rambunctiously. Second is the concept of levying war against the United States or opposing the lawful authority of the United States. Now that the Justice Department has been goaded into charging members of the Oath Keepers with seditious conspiracy for their participation in the Capitol riot, prosecutors may find that these elements pose insuperable challenges to their case.
