CCRL Launches a Database of Attacks Against Catholic Churches in Canada

Toronto, ON November 23, 2021 – The CCRL has launched a Church Attacks Database, accessible from www.ccrl.ca  which catalogues attacks against Catholic churches in Canada ranging from the breaking of stained-glass windows, to acts of desecration and church burnings, as witnessed this summer and reported in releases on June 22, July 1, and July 30.

Currently, there are 153 individual entries covering attacks from 2010 through 2021. In any given year, acts of vandalism and desecration increased during Christmas and Easter, but by far, 2021 has featured the highest number of total attacks, far more than in any other year. The period from May through August of 2021 alone has had more attacks than in any other period.

If Pfizer’s COVID wonder drug is so effective, why hasn’t the FDA approved it yet?

Another good one from Scott Alexander of Astral Codex Ten, who made the case last week that ivermectin looks effective against COVID in some studies because because those studies were conducted in places where parasites are a major health problem. Ivermectin’s not stopping the virus, he theorized, it’s stopping roundworms from interfering with people’s natural immune response to a COVID infection.

‘Should we call it undocumented shopping then?’ Disbelief as woke criminal experts tell public NOT to call California crime-wave ‘looting’ because ‘it’s racist’

Social media ripped woke supposed criminal experts for saying that the public should not refer to the string of thefts across California as ‘looting.’

Those interviewed by a Bay Area news station, including a professor of criminal justice and ex-cop, think the steals should be referred to as ‘organized smash-and-grabs.’

The distinction originates from the California penal code, which defines looting as ‘theft or burglary… during a ‘state of emergency,’ ‘local emergency’ or ‘evacuation order resulting from an earthquake, fire, flood, riot or other natural or manmade disaster.’

Dairy farmers pushed record-breaking price hike for milk even higher

A record-breaking price hike for milk announced by the Canadian Dairy Commission would have been lower if the country’s dairy farmers hadn’t intervened.

The commission announced in October it would be raising the price paid to farmers for milk next year by 8.4 per cent. Internal records obtained by Global News show the increase would have been less if the normal method for setting prices was used.

“The (commission’s) process ignores impacts on Canadian retailers, restaurants and families,” Michelle Wasylyshen, national spokesperson for the Retail Council of Canada, said.

Ontario reports 591 new COVID-19 cases, 7 more deaths

Ontario reported nearly 600 new COVID-19 cases and seven more deaths on Wednesday as the seven-day rolling average of new infections continued to rise.

Provincial health officials logged 591 new coronavirus infections today, down from 613 on Tuesday but up from 512 a week ago.

Assisted death only for vaccinated, German euthanasia association says

A statement put out by the Hamburg-based group on Friday reads “assisted suicide and the preliminary examination of a patient’s ability to make decisions freely implies physical closeness between people. However, that is precisely the precondition for the spread of Covid.”

Anyone wishing to be euthanized now has to first present proof of vaccination or recovery from Covid, as per the new guidelines issued by Germany’s euthanasia association.

Wisconsin: Child becomes sixth fatality in car-ramming

A man accused of ramming a car into Christmas parade-goers in Wisconsin on Sunday is to be charged with six deaths after another victim – a child – died.

Darrell Brooks, 39, wept in court as he was charged with five counts of intentional homicide. Prosecutors said further charges would be filed.

Police say Brooks drove in a “zig-zag pattern” to hit as many people as possible at the Waukesha parade.

Bail was set at $5m (£3.7m) due to his extensive criminal background.

The Waukesha massacre picture begins to emerge

At this time yesterday, as I wrote about what happened in Waukesha, I knew only that a Black man with dreadlocks driving a red SUV had slammed into Waukesha, Wisconsin’s Christmas parade, killing multiple people and injuring dozens more. Twenty-four hours have revealed significant new information, all of which points to the fact that, when leftists control the criminal justice system, innocent people will die.

The sinister stunt against JK Rowling

The narcissistic arrogance of certain trans activists is staggering

In a move that has proved to be as popular as a holiday in Peterborough, three trans activists rocked up to JK Rowling’s family home last week, strategically posing for a photograph that included her address for all to see.

Claiming to be protesting the writer’s ‘transphobia’, the three posted the photograph on Twitter, clearly hoping for a pile-on.

Why England players won’t take the knee against Qatar – They’re happy to bash America and Britain. But criticise an Islamic country? No way.

So, we finally have an answer to the largely rhetorical question of whether England’s oh-so-woke football players will take the knee against Qatar during the World Cup there next year. Whether these hyper-aware, rainbow laces-wearing, injustice-hating sportsmen will make some kind of physical gesture to register their concern about Qatar’s institutionalised misogyny, homophobia and mistreatment of migrant workers. The answer, in essence, is: ‘Maybe. We’re not sure. It’s complicated. And also the UK does a lot of business with Qatar, so we don’t want to piss them off too much.’ So principled!
