US adds China EV manufacturer BYD to list of firms with alleged Chinese military ties

The US has added several major firms from China, including e-commerce giant Alibaba and electric car maker BYD, to a list of companies said to have ties with the Chinese military.

The Department of Defense’s list aims to alert American organisations to the risks of doing business with the Chinese firms, but their inclusion does not mean they are immediately sanctioned.

The Chinese embassy in the US told the BBC the list was “discriminatory” and said firms from China have strictly complied with the laws abroad.

This should make Carney happy.

‘I was suspended from police for questioning Islam’

A Christian police support officer was sacked after he asked questions about Islam in a diversity training session.

Luke Salmons lost his job as a police community support officer (PCSO) with the North Yorkshire force and was barred from policing after a conversation about Gaza with a Muslim officer.

He later won an appeal against his dismissal but has never received an apology from the force where he said a “culture of fear” existed among officers who were terrified of being fired for saying the wrong thing.

Karmelo Anthony jurors shocked to their core over ghastly autopsy photos — and accused killer refuses to look

Jury members gasped in horror after being shown never-before-seen photos of Austin Metcalf’s heart as Karmelo Anthony’s trial continued.

Metcalf, 17, was stabbed once in the chest. The knife pierced through his bone in the center of his chest and punctured the right side of his heart, a medical examiner testified on Saturday.

Jurors were shown a photo of the ‘gapping’ two-inch stab wound that ‘completely went through the heart wall.’

Somalian arrested over ‘sickening’ Belfast knife attack

A Somalian man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a knife attack in Belfast.

The suspect is in custody after a man in his 40s was taken to hospital with “significant injuries” to his face, neck and back.

Footage shared on social media appeared to show an individual pinning the man to the ground before stabbing him in the head several times.

Video with subtitles of yesterday’s attempted beheading of a young British man by a Somali migrant in Belfast. It’s a hard watch but Europeans must see it.

Paris Leadership Accused of Provoking Christians After Church Art Protests

Six people were taken into police custody after activists linked to the Catholic traditionalist movement Civitas disrupted the opening of an art installation inside a Paris church during the city’s annual Nuit Blanche festival.
