When the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks takes place two weeks from now, CBC journalists will not be allowed to call them terrorist attacks. Those same CBC journalists can quote someone calling the attacks terrorism, but as a new memo to staff issued this week shows, journalists can’t use that description themselves.
The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation now says 9/11 wasn’t a "terrorist attack" at all. Just a "hijacking that led to plane crashes."
Ok… First off, clearly the CBC doesn’t know the definition of a terrorist attack, but WHY in the world would they say this?
