Germany Plans Secret Home Raids and Teenage Informants

Germany’s domestic intelligence agency could soon be authorised to secretly alter digital data, hack into private computers and mobile phones, enter homes without occupants’ knowledge, recruit 16- and 17-year-olds as informants, and never inform citizens that they had been subjected to surveillance.

The draft law, prepared by Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt, would dramatically expand the powers of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz, BfV), Germany’s domestic intelligence agency.

Canadians Like Depraved Slave Labour Camp Called China More Than US Says Pew Research Survey

Canadians’ opinions of the United States have deteriorated while their perceptions of China have improved compared to a few years ago, a new report suggests.

According to a Pew Research Center report released Wednesday, 44 per cent of Canadians surveyed between February and May hold a favourable view of China, while 33 per cent feel the same about the U.S. Last year, Canadians were “equally” favourable toward both countries. But in 2023, most Canadians had a “positive view” of the U.S. at 57 per cent, compared to 14 per cent that viewed China positively.

Wikipedia is already facing renewed scrutiny after it banned its own founder for protesting the site’s allowance of “ideologically motivated bullies” and anti-free speech policies. Kavanaugh’s lawsuit, filed in February, accuses the organization of allowing paid bullies to attack a man with false or misleading information while operating under the guise of being a “trustworthy” source.

Carney’s $160,000 in-flight catering bill draws criticism from taxpayers group

Prime Minister Mark Carney’s delegation spent nearly $160,000 on in-flight catering during a single overseas trip, according to government records obtained by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, prompting renewed criticism over government travel spending.

The records show Carney and a 55-member entourage spent $159,800 on meals during a week-long trip to Athens, Abu Dhabi, Johannesburg and the Canary Islands in November 2025.

That amounts to roughly $2,850 per passenger.

Judge Christine Henson KC said the evidence of the small-boat migrants at trial – when they denied raping the ‘vulnerable’ woman – offered ‘a chilling insight into your warped mindsets’.

European Union member states agreed on Wednesday, July 15th to extend temporary protection rights for Ukrainian refugees until March 2028, while introducing a significant policy shift that excludes newly arriving men of military age. This decision, requested by Kyiv to help secure vital military manpower, means that the emergency protections—originally triggered after Russia’s 2022 invasion—will no longer cover new applicants who fail to satisfy their domestic military obligations back home. Under Ukrainian wartime laws, men aged 23 to 60 are generally prohibited from leaving the country.
