A YouGov survey has discovered just such an unusual attitude among our population. A poll of 2,300 British adults found that a mere 6 per cent would volunteer to fight for their country in the event of an ‘imminent’ invasion. An astonishing figure, even in an unpatriotic age. (A further 14 per cent said they would fight if called up, 17 per cent would refuse any order to do so, and 52 per cent declared themselves ineligible on physical grounds.)
The results of an Abacus Data survey have again revealed which generations are keeping the rotten Liberal Party popular and in power. It’s the baby boomers and the silent generation, of course.
The new survey, released on Sunday, showed that “(a)mong Canadians aged 60 and over, the Liberals lead the Conservatives by 20 points, 52 per cent to 32 per cent.” Only one or two percentage points divide the Liberal/Conservative preference (measured as vote intention) among all other age groups, meaning that without the Boomers and their elders, our red and blue parties would be neck-and-neck in the polls.

A new poll shows the Ontario Liberals maintaining a narrow lead over the Progressive Conservatives, while Premier Doug Ford’s personal approval has dropped a sharp 24 per cent as his government faces mounting scrutiny over MPP hotel expenses.
Liaison Strategies’ Ontario Political Tracker, conducted July 20 and July 21, finds the Liberals at 38 per cent among decided and leaning voters, ahead of the PCs at 33 per cent and the NDP at 24 per cent. Among all voters, including undecided respondents, the Liberals sit at 33 per cent, the PCs at 29 per cent, and the NDP at 21 per cent.
