CALGARY — Martin Sellner, a controversial Austrian remigration activist who has been invited to speak at an upcoming nationalist conference in Hamilton, says Canadian immigration officials have left his travel application to enter the country unresolved for more than a month as political opposition to the event intensifies.

OTTAWA — An Austrian man who has been permanently banned from the United Kingdom for promoting extremist narratives said this week he hopes Canada won’t deny him entry ahead of a conference he’s set to speak at in Hamilton this month.

Martin Sellner is being marketed as a keynote speaker for an Aug. 29 conference of the Dominion Society, which advocates for “remigration,” the mass deportation of immigrants.

The term ‘remigration’, referring to attempts to induce or compel migrants to return to their countries of origin, has become increasingly common on social media. A recent report by the UK Extremism and Democratic Resilience Centre found that fully one third of Britons support remigration — a figure that was widely cited in the media.

The big problem with the term is that it’s not well-defined, with different people using it to mean vastly different things.

YouTube has done it again. The Internet’s largest audiovisual content platform has removed the latest episode of The Forge, europeanconservative.com’s debate programme, after classifying a conversation about immigration, remigration, and European identity as “hate speech.”

Whenever Republicans talk about immigration enforcement, amnesty supporters chant the same tired line: What about picking crops? What about meat processing? Those are necessary jobs that Americans simply refuse to do.

That argument was used to justify dozens of House Republicans’ latest mass amnesty effort. Their proposal would give illegal alien agriculture workers a pathway to legal status through the H-2A program, even though they have broken multiple laws by being in the United States illegally and getting a job without a work permit. Their employer has also violated the law by hiring these illegals.

A spate of rulings from the Supreme Court couldn’t be more of a mandate if they were handed down, gift-wrapped, and sealed with a kiss by God: The mass deportation of illegal aliens is legal and imperative if there’s any hope of saving this country.

The Canada Border Services Agency says removal orders have been issued for dozens of people in the Greater Toronto Area with possible ties to extortion following enhanced tracking of immigration enforcement cases that began in the fall of last year.

In a news release, the agency said it began taking a closer look at enforcement cases with potential links to extortion last year, beginning with the Pacific and Prairie regions in August.

In November, the CBSA said, this approach was extended to the GTA.
