Carney and Xi agree to tackle ‘irritants’ in Canada-China relationship

Opening the door to what he calls pragmatic and constructive dialogue, Prime Minister Mark Carney held a bilateral meeting Friday with the president of China on the margins of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.

It marked the first formal leader-to-leader contact between the two nations since 2017.

In other words nothing was accomplished beyond a reminder that Carney should keep the KY handy.

Federal prosecutors investigate BLM leaders over alleged misuse of $90M+ in donations

Federal prosecutors are investigating whether senior leaders of the Black Lives Matter organization defrauded donors who contributed tens of millions of dollars during the 2020 protests, two sources familiar with the probe tell Fox News.

The Associated Press first reported that the Justice Department’s ongoing inquiry is focused on the foundation’s handling of donations collected in the wake of the George Floyd killing, when the group saw a surge of more than $90 million in contributions.

Mark Carney’s HEY JEW

Ignorance can be forgiven. Willful gutless idiocy cannot. Let’s face it. The sad reality is that our current Western leaders are pathetic despicable opportunists.

Given the current global antisemitic frenzy, The Beatles’ hit song Hey Jude seems ripe to be tailored as “Hey Jew!”

My sincere apologies to Israel for our amateurish Liberal Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s recent decision to recognize a country that never existed anywhere other than on paper ‒ that is “Palestine” of course ‒ which technically amounts to recognizing Atlantis, or rather George Lucas’ Death Star.

It’s time to declare a national emergency over violent crime by migrants

Despite what the BBC would have you believe, people are right to be fearful of the consequences of our open borders

How could any decent human being possibly object to mass immigration? That, it would seem, is the mystery puzzling the BBC. Yes, even after all these years. Because earlier this week it sent reporters to Buxton in Derbyshire to ask residents the following question: why are you people all saying you’ll vote Reform, when practically everyone in your town is white British?

Buxton, noted the BBC’s reporters, has experienced “very little” immigration, is a good 250 miles from Dover (“where the small boats arrive”), and has “no hotels housing asylum seekers”. Yet almost everyone they spoke to, apart from some wonderfully compassionate teenagers at a local school, viewed the small boats, and mass immigration in general, as a major source of concern. How baffling. If you work for the BBC, anyway.

‘You got some pants on, officer?’: video from Detroit virtual court hearing goes viral

A video of a Detroit police officer appearing at a virtual court hearing without wearing any trousers has gone viral.

“You got some pants on, officer?” Judge Sean Perkins asked police officer Matthew Jackson after he introduced himself to the virtual district courtroom on Monday and inadvertently revealed himself not to be wearing trousers.

“No, sir,” Jackson admitted before the video showed him moving up the camera up so the lower half of his body was no longer in the frame.

LILLEY: Canadians shouldn’t accept a lower standard of living

First it was Prime Minister Mark Carney saying that young people would need to sacrifice, now it’s the head of the Bank of Canada warning of a lower standard of living. It seems that Canada’s leadership sees us as a country in decline, but it shouldn’t be this way.

In fact, that was the point that Bank Governor Tiff Macklem was making on Wednesday. Macklem was talking about the impact of tariffs and American protectionist policy on Canada’s economy.

So who has been at the economy’s helm these past 11 years?

Is this finally rock bottom for Mr Andrew Mountbatten Windsor?

After weeks, months, years and even decades of scandals, all the titles and privileges of the former Prince Andrew have been completely removed.

There are no modern precedents for such a colossal loss of royal status.

Unlike the previous statement on his future, this was from Buckingham Palace rather than Andrew himself.

It’s a ripping off the bandage moment, which the Palace will hope will finally draw a line under the endless oil slick of bad news stories about Andrew.

Where will Andrew live on estate with its own troubled past?

There is something oddly fitting about Andrew Mountbatten Windsor ending up in a home on the Sandringham Estate.

The estate was bought for the future Edward VII when he was Albert, Prince of Wales. Albert was a frequenter of brothels who ended up giving evidence in court in the infamous baccarat scandal, which concerned cheating at cards. In short, the first royal resident of the estate was a model of impropriety, and now the latest tenant arrives similarly drenched in scandal.

The FBI has said that it prevented a potential terrorist attack in Michigan, arresting multiple suspects accused of plotting violence over the Halloween weekend.

“This morning, the FBI thwarted a potential terrorist attack and arrested multiple subjects in Michigan who were allegedly plotting a violent attack over Halloween weekend,” FBI Director Kash Patel posted on X.

Details to follow …

I located the source for this tweet’s screenshot of a Dearborn Police announcement. It’s on Instagram.

If true this indicates the arrests were the result of a year long FBI undercover operation.

Liberal whirlwind blocks Geert Wilders from power in lesson for Starmer

Geert Wilders will be banished to the opposition benches following election results that put centrist liberals in pole position to lead the next government.

The “Dutch Trump” won a landslide almost two years ago in a result that shook a Europe led by governments struggling to contain their own insurgent hard-Right parties.

Leaders including Sir Keir Starmer will be poring over Rob Jetten’s triumph for clues to how to ward off the threat of the populist and anti-migrant Right, led by the poll-topping Nigel Farage.
