We are blessed to live in Canada, as is anyone fortunate enough to live in the wider western world. An inheritance of liberty, the rule of law, wealth and stability that’s unmatched in all of history is to be cherished and protected. And yet, in country after country, there have been movements to dismantle all that makes the West worth defending. It’s a project being advanced not by our enemies, external or domestic, but by the very governments tasked with stewarding this great inheritance.
A recent incident at a council meeting in Ivry-sur-Seine, on the outskirts of Paris, provided a striking snapshot of the tensions surrounding secularism and the place of Islam in French society. In protest against the ubiquity of the Islamic veil, a Rassemblement National (RN) councillor brandished a cross and recited a Hail Mary—provoking a hysterical reaction from a Communist mayor who has made Islamist communitarianism his electoral stock-in-trade.

Montreal police have suspended two police officers and reassigned 14 others over allegations a police unit in the city’s north end was targeting racialized groups.
The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) announced the action against the officers on Friday, stating in a press release that the force’s codes of discipline and ethics may have been violated, as well as potentially the Criminal Code.

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has said that anti-white racism instituted by the government in Westminster has spread throughout all of British society, and so the “madness” of the Equality Act must be rooted out.
In his debut article for Substack, Brexit champ Nigel Farage accused the Westminster establishment of actively working against the native people of Britain, arguing that the government actively promotes policies which advantage minorities and hurt white British people, creating a “two-tier” system in the country.

A leading UFO conference is landing in Canada this summer. For some Canadians, the decision to end a marriage isn’t being driven solely by the state of the relationship – it’s also being shaped by the state of their finances.
A new survey from BMO suggests the rising cost of living and broader economic uncertainty are influencing when Canadians choose to separate, with many delaying the decision because they simply can’t afford the financial fallout.
The survey found that nearly two-in-five (37 per cent) divorced or separated Canadians said that the financial cost of divorce or legal separation kept them in their marriage longer that they wanted.
