A Dangerous Deal: Trump’s Board of Peace and Hamas

For nearly a year, the international community insisted that there could be no future for the Gaza Strip unless Hamas was stripped of every weapon, every tunnel, every missile factory, and every military capability.

US President Donald J. Trump’s September 2025 peace plan was explicit: Gaza would be demilitarized, terrorist infrastructure destroyed, and weapons rendered permanently unusable.

Toronto to proceed with banning surveillance pricing in grocery stores

Toronto to proceed with banning surveillance pricing in grocery stores

Following a unanimous vote at city council this week, the City of Toronto is looking into ways to regulate and ban surveillance pricing in the city’s grocery stores.

Surveillance pricing refers to the practice of using an individual consumer’s data, such as their gender, location, purchase history, and socioeconomic status, to set prices. This can result in a business charging different prices for the same item, depending on who’s buying it.

Carney & Chairman Chow’ may end up creating Food Deserts.

The Major Grocers have promised the poor will get it if surveillance pricing is challenged.

Rosie Mourns She Can’t Sing About Trump’s ‘Teeny Tiny Penis’ When Hosting Kimmel

Rosie O’Donnell sat down with Kara Swisher on her podcast on Monday to preview her upcoming time as guest host of ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! During their conversation, O’Donnell would lament ABC wouldn’t let her sing about Trump’s “teeny tiny penis,” which not only highlighted the nakedly partisan slant of the show but also makes no sense because Jimmy Kimmel Live! does parodies all the time.

Trump says he’s decided on a punishment for Canada over wildfire smoke blanketing the US: ‘You’ll find out’

President Donald Trump said he would soon reveal his “punishment” for Canada over the wildfires that have blanketed parts of the U.S. with smoke in recent weeks, triggering air quality warnings across the country.

Trump has accused Canada of mismanaging its forests and previously vowed the country would be “held responsible” for the smoke that has drifted south. He renewed the threats Sunday evening in a gaggle with reporters aboard Air Force One.

Canada cuts its UN peacekeeping forces as it tilts to Europe and Indo-Pacific

Ottawa’s decision to slash its troop contribution to United Nations missions is sparking concern that the cuts will undermine Canada’s new Africa strategy and jeopardize its longstanding peacekeeping traditions.

By the middle of next year, the Department of National Defence says, Canada will withdraw its peacekeepers from UN missions in Congo, South Sudan, Kosovo and Cyprus and sharply reduce its role in a multinational mission in the Sinai.

Senate primary in Michigan is a fight for the Democratic Party’s future

Senate primary in Michigan is a fight for the Democratic Party’s future

Michigan voters on Tuesday are selecting their Democratic nominee for a key Senate seat and ending a bruising race that reflected the schisms in their party as it seeks to wrest control of the chamber.

Rep. Haley Stevens, a moderate who represents a swing district, faces Abdul El-Sayed, a former public health official and favorite of progressives.

The winner will face Republican Mike Rogers, who is uncontested in his primary. The former Michigan congressman narrowly lost his first Senate bid in 2024 and collected President Donald Trump’s support this year.

U.S. booze bans have done ‘nothing to move the needle’ on tariffs, U of T prof says

Keeping U.S. booze off of LCBO shelves has done “nothing to move the needle” on tariffs, a University of Toronto professor says, arguing that the province should drop the moratorium on American alcohol.

“The alcohol embargo has been in place at this point for almost a year-and-a-half. It has not moved the needle in any observable way,” Joseph Steinberg, a professor of economics at the University of Toronto, told Newstalk 1010 on Tuesday.

To even write this feels taboo. But we need to talk about how so many Western women are being sexually assaulted and murdered by migrants from misogynist cultures

To even write this feels taboo. But we need to talk about how so many Western women are being sexually assaulted and murdered by migrants from misogynist cultures

There is a grim familiarity to the tragic deaths of two women in the news this week. Both young, beautiful and by all accounts kind, trusting souls, they were sympathetic to migrants and only had the best intentions towards them.

One was American, Jamey Carney, 43, who had resettled in her ancestral home of Killarney, Ireland. Soon after, she inherited over €400,000 from her father and then fell in love with a Jordanian man 15 years her junior, whom she met at a pro-Palestinian protest.

They got engaged, but on July 7 her daughter Michaela – aged just 13 – found her mother dead in her bedroom. She had been suffocated.

Taboo? Certainly to White Liberal Women, the media and our most vile pols. The sane among us have sounded the alarm publicly for many years.

An independent Alberta’s U.S. oil exports would mostly be piped through other provinces

In some Alberta separatists’ arguments, their big idea isn’t so much about severing the province from Canada. The goal is to fortify trade bonds with Alberta’s southern neighbour.

“We sit beside the largest economy in the world, with the shortest and lowest-cost trade routes to our most important customer,” independence leader Keith Wilson said in a social media post last week. “The problem is not geography. The problem is Ottawa control.”

Highly credentialed, underemployed, and furious: Meet the DSA

Highly credentialed, underemployed, and furious: Meet the DSA

Peter Turchin has a theory called elite overproduction. A society trains more people for high-status positions than it has positions to give them. The surplus doesn’t disappear. It becomes a pool of credentialed, underemployed people who did everything they were told and received less than they were promised.

A movement’s demographics are not incidental to its politics — they are close to the whole explanation. Turchin traced the pattern to revolutionary France, where a surplus of law graduates shut out of the aristocracy’s professional class became disproportionately represented among the revolution’s leaders.

Carney has ‘no obvious challenger’ among Conservatives, says new poll of people who dislike Poilievre

There is “no obvious challenger” among Conservative politicians in Canada to Prime Minister Mark Carney, according to a new Nanos Research poll commissioned by CTV News.

The poll, which randomly surveyed Canadians by phone and online between July 28 to 30, provided a list of Conservative politicians and asked which would have a chance to defeat Carney if they were leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.

According to the poll, 16 per cent said former prime minister Stephen Harper, while current Official Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre received 15 per cent of the vote. Ontario Premier Doug Ford, meanwhile, sits at 11 per cent.

Poilievre also communes with Satan according to sources.
