Dr. Anthony Fauci pleads the Fifth Amendment in Senate hearing bombshell

Dr. Anthony Fauci pleaded the Fifth Amendment at the start of his Wednesday hearing, ripping Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) for “unhinged” remarks and claiming the only purpose of the Homeland Security Committee’s investigation was to put him “behind bars.”

“Given Senator Paul’s obvious obsession with calling for my prosecution, his repeated slanderous comments about me, and recently his publicly releasing my unredacted personal diary aimed at embarrassing and intimidating me, the only conclusion I can reach is that the sole reason he is calling me before this committee is to get me to say something, anything, that could vindicate his repeated public pledges that I end up, in his words, ‘behind bars,’” said Fauci.

Fauci and “Good Faith”

On 8 February 2020, Anthony Fauci took a morning telephone call from Tom Frieden, formerly the director of the CDC. He wrote down what they discussed. Both men agreed the new coronavirus was behaving like a bad influenza in transmissibility. Fauci recorded 34,867 known cases against 724 deaths, then observed that the real denominator was far larger than the confirmed count. That put the case fatality rate at 0.2 to 0.3 percent rather than 2.0 percent (Paul 2026).

He was right, and the estimate has held up better than most of what was said in public over the two years that followed.

Hate absolutely has its place in Canada. It has been normalized, ignored and excused

Hate absolutely has its place in Canada. It has been normalized, ignored and excused

Hate absolutely has a place in Canada. It is accepted by virtue of our collective indifference – by the way our leaders refuse to define it in precise terms. Hate has a place in Canada when the Prime Minister’s signature address on antisemitism clings desperately to anodyne generalities, lest the hate that fuels that antisemitism turn on him politically – or worse.

Prisoners at Iran’s largest jail sew lips shut in hunger strike as executions soar

Prisoners at Iran’s largest jail have sewn their lips shut as hundreds of them joined a mass hunger strike amid a surge in executions over drug offences and charges linked to anti-government protests.

The hunger strike, involving at least 1,500 death row prisoners at Ghezel Hesar prison near Tehran, began two weeks ago after six men convicted on drug-related charges were transferred to solitary confinement before their possible execution, according to Iranian rights groups.

Critics slam Tim Hortons Harry Potter promotion as un-Canadian, anti-trans

The reaction online is, perhaps, not as magical as Tim Hortons had hoped.

But when the coffee chain announced its new Harry Potter menu and merchandise on Monday — a celebration of the “beloved” movie franchise’s 25th anniversary, according to the company’s press release — the backlash from the 2SLGBTQ+ community and allies was swift.

“As a brand that is synonymous with Canada, Tim Hortons and their partnerships should reflect Canada — a country that is inclusive and proud of its diversity,” advocacy group Egale Canada said in an online statement Tuesday.

Denial Is the Rule: Triple Stabbing in the Name of Allah ‘Psychiatric Disorder’

In the heart of Paris, a man attacked three women with a knife “in the name of Allah.” Yet, once again, the psychiatric diagnosis prevailed, and the case was not referred to the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office. Across the French border, an Islamist terrorist attacked the Berlin Pride parade, but there, too, it seems almost impossible for the Germans to accurately profile the attacker. Is deliberate blindness the disease of our time?

RUBENSTEIN: No progress on the ‘215 unmarked graves’ — Kamloops Indian Band owes Canadians answers

According to Blacklock’s Reporter, Canada’s premier investigator of federal government machinations, the Department of Crown-Indigenous Relations waived a requirement that the Kamloops Indian Band account for the spending of a $12.1 million grant for the “exhumation of remains” at its former Indian Residential School, according to records disclosed on July 23.

In particular, the Band made no attempt to exhume even a single grave despite this generous funding.

The Woke Jihad’s Red Green Alliance Has More in Common than You Think

The Woke Jihad’s Red Green Alliance Has More in Common than You Think

For decades, communists and Islamists have joined forces to wage a woke jihad. MSM has normalized their increasing violence by spinning and memory holing incidents. Last week featured gruesome attacks across the West almost every day.

In Berlin, an Islamist killed one and injured many others after driving into an LGBTQ parade. In Paris, an Islamist stabbed three women, one of whom is pregnant. In NYC, a man shouted “allahu akbar” before stabbing several civilians.

Parole board considered ‘casual and systemic racism’ while freeing armed robber

An armed robber who was involved in prison drone drops of drugs while behind bars and allegedly assaulted and choked his ex-girlfriend the day he got full parole is free again even though the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) recommended against releasing him.

Daniel Christian Anthony Johnson, who was sentenced in February 2024 to more than five years in prison for two March 1, 2022 jewelry store robberies in the Halifax area, was released on full parole this past April. But that was suspended after he allegedly attacked his ex.

Parole board members should be made to house their pets.
