The AHS’ Mismanagement of ICU Beds appears linked to the NDP’s War against Jason Kenney

I am no fan of Alberta Premier Jason Kenney, or the UCP for that matter, and I think his new regime of draconian restrictions and passport system is absolutely abysmal, but at the same time, it would be dishonest to hold Kenney solely responsible for the current situation. There are clearly forces inside and outside of the government pressuring Kenney and the UCP into blowing up the COVID-19 situation into something worse than it really is.

NDP unveils campaign platform ahead of potential election call

Meet Jagmeet Singh, A Rising Star In Canadian Politics

Jagmeet Singh is a Sikh Canadian politician who has been steadily gaining in popularity; he is also, alas, distinctly unsympathetic to Israel. A report on Singh, with his pro-Palestinian views, and his dislike of the Jewish state, is here: “Rising star or dark force? Jagmeet Singh plans to leave his mark on Canada-Israel relations,” by Ami Friedman, Israel Hayom, July 30, 2021…

It used to be that Canada’s mainstream political parties, at least at the top level, expressed support for Israel even if as among the NDP and LPC that support was only an inch deep and in no way representative of the views held by many of the rank and file.

Now “anti-zionist” gaslighting is mainstream and that Green Party kerfuffle a sign of things to come on larger political stages.
