“I said, I think it was in March, last March. That you know, lockdowns are not the solution, and now they are doubled on it. Now we have lockdowns and a curfew here in Quebec, and maybe in other provinces.. And why is it not the solution? Because it isn’t working. And at the same time, you know, we need to have our freedom, and governments actually, right now, are looking at us as irresponsible children that they must tell what to do. But we are responsible citizens, and we don’t need lockdowns to fight this virus.”

Mask exemptions seem to be clearly laid out in all provincial and municipal orders, and yet, time and time again we are seeing that businesses aren’t respecting them, and enforcement is increasingly heavy handed.

The New York Times published an article on Tuesday advocating for its readers to double up on masking as a method for extra protection against coronavirus.

“Double-masking isn’t necessary for everyone,” the article states, but it could be helpful “for people with thin or flimsy face coverings.”

Ford government officials to publish ‘legal parameters’ of how to enforce new stay-at-home order

The Ontario government is expected to provide more details today regarding its newly issued stay-at-home order, which takes effect tomorrow.

The province says it will publish the “legal parameters” for the order online today and offer more clarification on the measure.

As of tomorrow, residents will have to stay home except for essential purposes such as grocery shopping, accessing health care and exercising.
