In Canada last week, Trudeau set a historic precedent by declaring a National Emergency on dubious grounds. This act has existed for 34 years without once being invoked, and now the Trudeau government is wielding it as a cudgel against one of the most organized displays of civil disobedience in Canadian history.
“I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve,” says the character of the Japanese admiral Isoroku about Pearl Harbor in the WWII film Tora! Tora! Tora! The Japanese may have successfully attacked the U.S., but that was a battle, not the war, and that day was the beginning of the end for the Japanese race to global power.
There is a parallel situation unfolding with the Canadian government and the truckers. To be clear, I’m not saying there’s going to be a war, insurrection, or violence, but I am saying that the response of the Canadian government to the peaceful protests against the COVID-19 vaccine mandate will ultimately be its undoing and absent complete voter suppression and fraud, the current tyrannical regime won’t last.
In the view of Gerald Butts, some sort of weird virus must have infected the editorial boards of some of the world’s most respected newspapers, preventing them from understanding the unique circumstances that prompted Canada’s prime minister to invoke emergency powers.
In a series of tweets assessing the decision, Butts — former principal secretary to Justin Trudeau — started off with a slap at several editorials that denounced the decision as unnecessary and dangerous.
There does remain one major difference between Canada and Cuba. Few Cubans support their Marxist leaders, but most Canadians support theirs. They don’t know what they’re in for.
Canada is leaving the Western world.
In terms of all-encompassing government, suppression of dissent and the denial of fundamental human rights to many of its citizens, Canada is now more similar to Cuba than to any free country. Canada may eventually return to Western civilization, but right now, the majority of Canadians appear to have no interest in it doing so. According to Maru Public Opinion, “two-thirds (66 percent) of Canadians support Prime Minister Justin Trudeau bringing in the Emergencies Act . . . A majority (56 percent) of Canadians do not support the truckers who are protesting in any way, shape, or form . . . This is a majority view held in every province/region across the country.”
The discussions held by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Premiers leading up to the imposition of The Emergencies Act will not be made public, but the results are obvious: All Premiers except one, Ontario Premier Doug Ford, told Trudeau not to do it.
I’m sure that they all urged the Prime Minister to take the glaringly obvious, commonsense step of engaging in dialogue with the truckers. I would guess that the Premiers told Ford to do the same as well. Ford did not budge. He chose to save his own political skin over doing the right thing for the country. Ditto for Trudeau.
On Tuesday, February 15, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act of 1988 to try to end the continuing demonstrations by truckers in that country. The demonstrators called themselves a “freedom convoy”. Opponents have claimed that the convoy has been supported monetarily and logistically by certain right wing factions, including those based in the United States.
The truckers came thousands of miles from across Canada to descend on the capital of Ottawa, where they refused to leave until Trudeau’s vaccine mandate for truckers entering from the United States is repealed. However, Trudeau refused to meet with the truckers, who later expanded their protest by blocking certain international crossings and other infrastructure. The Prime Minister then vilified them and in effect declared martial law.
Of course he will. With a single word, the fate of our country is laid out before us. The fact that three-time winner Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he is going to run for office again should surprise no one.
At one point, many Canadians may have seen the government as part of the fabric of the country. But now, people see how it’s something separate and often hostile.
The Trudeau government has exposed thousands of Canadians to prospective financial ruin and gross violations of privacy.
Canadians often gripe that the rest of the world pays little attention to our country. These days, most of us are wishing that we were making international news a lot less.
Our newfound global notoriety is a result of the Freedom Convoy, a protest movement that sprang up in late January, when fleets of trucks converged on the nation’s capital, Ottawa, to call for the end to vaccine mandates. There they remained, dug into the city’s core, for over three weeks before police began to remove them.
The fact that the biomedical security state is being imposed by elected leaders doesn’t automatically give it democratic legitimacy.
Behind all the bad arguments against the Canadian Freedom Convoy, that they are Nazis or transphobes or whatever, is one good one: there was an election five months ago and they lost it. We can’t replace democracy with rule by whoever has the biggest trucks. Justin Trudeau made that argument yesterday defending his use of the Emergencies Act against the protesters. “You can’t hold a city hostage,” he said. “What you can do is vote. What you can do is run for office. That’s how change happens in a democracy.”
It is true that in the last election, in September 2021, Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party won 32.6 percent of the popular vote and 160 seats, the lowest popular vote of any ruling party in Canadian history but enough to put together a minority government.
“… Trudeau said the first round of economic sanctions will ban Canadians from all financial dealings with the breakaway regions Putin recognized, Donetsk and Luhansk. The sanctions will also target members of the Russian Parliament who voted for the decision to recognize the separatist regions, as well as ban Canadians from engaging in purchases of Russian sovereign debt, Trudeau said.”

A cryptocurrency group whose software was used to funnel bitcoin to the “freedom convoy” in Ottawa says it cannot fulfil an Ontario judge’s order to freeze accounts associated with the protest, testing the legal system’s ability to curtail the flow of digital currency.
On Friday, after Ontario Superior Court Justice Calum MacLeod granted an injunction to a private citizens’ effort to stop funding for the protest — including more than $1 million in bitcoin — crypto exchange Nunchuck.io said that it “cannot” freeze its users money or prevent it from being moved because it does not have access to their digital wallets.
Yesterday, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice sent us a Mareva Injunction, ordering us to freeze and disclose information about the assets involved in the #FreedomConvoy2022 movement.

RCMP commissioner Brenda Lucki urged Canadians to report suspicious Internet behaviour, including comments by people who express “anti-government, anti-law enforcement” opinions.
“… Schwab and the WEF had help in setting up their Canadian infiltration mission, including from Trudeau’s former chief of staff, Gerald Butts, a participant in the WEF’s Davos conferences and a leading backroom organizer of the Trudeau government’s ideological gambits. When it comes to subversive plans to overthrow the free-world economy, few are larger in scope than the WEF’s global scheme to remake the world and install a new form of “capitalism” based on the recruitment of corporate leaders into the role of government.
The WEF infiltration of Ottawa has never been a secret, nor has Butts’ involvement. But it is far from being common knowledge among voters that the ideological model behind the Liberal policy machine, the steering mechanism that guides decisions and policies, is subversive and authoritarian. It also covers a massive policy territory, from climate to COVID-19.
