Woke 1 was rather ridiculous and provided great fuel for laughs and cheap entertainment across North America. However, Woke 1 implies Woke 2 is coming, and it will be far worse when it does. In fact, in Canada, at least, Woke 2 is already here, and the fact it is quieter is not a sign of weakness. Not only is Woke 2 turning the accommodation of Woke 1 into durable power, it is cycling in fresh causes post-pandemic.

Two men have been charged with attempted murder after Sara Sharif’s killer father ‘had his throat slit with a tuna can lid’ at HMP Belmarsh.
Steven Sansom, 47, and Adam Watson, 39, are accused of trying to kill Urfan Sharif at the high-security prison in south-east London on New Year’s Day last year.
Sharif was ambushed in his cell by two inmates armed with the jagged lid of a tuna tin.

Stephen Harper would not get elected leader of today’s Conservative Party
In February, as a former director in Stephen Harper’s PMO, I was invited to Ottawa for the unveiling of his official portrait. It was a lovely and fitting occasion. As is customary, the current prime minister, Mark Carney, was also in attendance and gave gracious remarks.
Watching the two men share a stage, I was struck by how similar their brands are. When I attend focus groups, the words people use to describe Carney are strong, smart, dependable, safe, and economically credible.
Those are the same words people used to describe Stephen Harper 15 years ago. Many will even tell you, unprompted, that Carney is governing the country like a conservative.

Yes, the “W” NBA, where the W stands for “Women’s.” The first to announce his intentions was Enes Kanter Freedom, a 6-foot-10, 250-pound center who played in the NBA for 11 seasons and averaged 11.2 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Then, on the heels of Freedom’s announcement, Royce White, a 6-foot-8, 270-pound former Houston Rockets first-round pick, announced similar plans.
