OTTAWA — Moscow is calling Canada a “warmonger” for signing a drone-production deal with Ukraine and is vowing to publish the address of a Canadian company working with Kyiv.
Two weeks ago, Ottawa announced a corporate partnership between Canadian and Ukrainian drone makers that could see drones made in Canada deployed to Ukraine’s front line.
The deal involves Ukrainian company Airlogix and Canadian drone maker Sentinel R&D, which is based in Hamilton, Ont.

Bill Gates has claimed that Jeffrey Epstein used his knowledge of the Microsoft founder’s extramarital affairs as “leverage” against him.
The tech billionaire told US Congress members on Wednesday that Epstein “was working to use information about my infidelities… to pressure me”.
Senior US politicians suggested it was evidence that Epstein, who died in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, blackmailed powerful figures in his orbit to his advantage.
Mr Gates also reportedly admitted to seeking donations from Epstein for his global health organisation despite knowledge of the paedophile’s sex crimes.

How would you describe a culture where women are flogged in public for ‘inappropriate dress’? A culture where one woman suffered 40 lashes from a leather whip for the crime of wearing trousers and a T-shirt? A culture where a man who lies with a man risks being whipped a hundred times before being put in a dank cell for five years? A culture where apostasy is considered such an abominable sin that even a heavily pregnant woman could be sentenced to death for supposedly committing it?
Personally, I would call such a culture ‘alien’. In fact, I would call it backward, regressive, inhuman and morally inferior to the freer, more forgiving culture we Brits are lucky to live in. Why, then, was the unionist MP Jim Allister rebuked in the Commons yesterday for suggesting that the bloodletting maniac in Belfast heralded from an ‘alien culture’? For all of the primitive punishments listed above, all that state barbarism, took place in the nation where he was reportedly born: Sudan.

On Sunday, at least five people were hospitalized after a seriously mentally ill suspect with a criminal record reportedly went on a “frenzied” slashing spree at Penn Station. The incident comes exactly one month after another mentally ill repeat offender was arrested for allegedly pushing an elderly man down the subway steps, killing him, mere hours after being released from a hospital psych evaluation.
This latest tragedy won’t be the last. Violence linked to untreated serious mental illness has become increasingly normalized in New York. That acceptance is letting city leaders escape accountability for their failure to address the situation.
VANCOUVER – Noah Reitman regularly rents out the top floor of his Vancouver home through Airbnb, and he, like many in Vancouver, figured demand during the World Cup would be off the charts.
