The Canadian Armed Forces has long reflected the very best of our country. Courage. Duty. Service before self. It has also recognized another enduring truth: many who volunteer to defend Canada draw strength from faith. For more than 150 years, military chaplains have stood alongside Canadian soldiers, sailors, and aviators in times of war and peace, offering prayers rooted in their respective faith traditions. That tradition has never divided our Armed Forces. It has strengthened them.
President Trump has responded to Abdul El-Sayed’s projected victory in Michigan’s Democrat Senate primary, blasting the candidate as a “communist loser” and a Jew hater, while insisting his win over establishment Democrat Haley Stevens is “great news” for Republicans.

WASHINGTON — The FBI opened an investigation into whether President Trump was “wittingly or unwittingly” acting as a Russian agent when he fired then-Director James Comey in 2017, according to bombshell documents released by the White House Wednesday.
The probe, called “Oxford Comma,” grew out of Crossfire Hurricane, the bureau’s probe into whether Trump’s 2016 campaign colluded with the Kremlin to get the 45th president elected.
“Based on the facts and circumstances provided to date, the FBI believes that opening this investigation is the least intrusive method to address the serious national security risk posed by the activities alleged,” one of the declassified bureau memos shows.

The organizer of Afrofest, one of the largest celebrations of African music and culture in North America, is blaming the city for the cancellation of this summer’s festival, which has been running annually for nearly 40 years.
“There’s a lot of anger in me,” said Peter Toh, executive and artistic director of Afrofest. “What happened is by design. We have never been accepted in the Beaches, only tolerated.”
It’s implied racism was the cause of course. Africans built the Beaches after all.

A US military GPS-jamming exercise has been linked to a medevac plane crash that killed four people in the mountains of New Mexico.
The twin-engine Beechcraft King Air was flying from Roswell to Ruidoso in early May to collect a patient when its pilots suddenly lost access to their modern navigation systems.
It was a clear, nearly moonless night, leaving the crew with few visual references as they flew over the dark and sparsely populated landscape.

The 26-year-old Afghan man who confessed to dumping the remains of a dead British woman in Greece has been identified as boxer and migrant Sharif Ahmadzai.
Ahmadzai, whose identity was disclosed by local and international outlets, reportedly arrived through a migrant boat on the Greek island of Lesbos in 2016. Ontario Premier Doug Ford has seen his popularity dip in the wake of an MPP expense scandal but the total impact appears to be “marginal rather than transformational,” a new survey suggests.
Abacus Data surveyed 1,000 Ontario adults on behalf of the Toronto Star from July 23 to July 29.
It found that support for the PCs among committed voters has fallen from 42 per cent to 40 per cent when compared to a similar survey that was conducted in June.
