What would a civil war with the Left look like?

What if the current unrest in the country leads to a second American Civil War? How would that play out in the modern era? Let’s allow ourselves a daydream — or nightmare — about how it might go.

Granted, there wouldn’t be battles like those that were fought in Gettysburg or Vicksburg, but it’s conceivable each side would come up with their own flag design, since symbols are essential. The Right might construct a “freedom” flag, which would stand in stark contrast to the flag of the Left: a raised fist decorated with small anarcho-feminist and transgender icons — with the middle finger extended.

Carney’s most consequential decision to date is shrinking Canadians’ dreams

Carney’s most consequential decision to date is shrinking Canadians’ dreams

Mark Carney’s dramatic escalation of military spending will change Canada — far more than has been acknowledged.

Without any clear assessment of our military needs, the prime minister has embarked on a massive military spending spree, which has suddenly immersed us in plans to spend $100 billion on submarines, and billions more on fighter jets.

All this has redrawn the boundaries of our national ambitions, redirecting vast resources into military firepower, forcing us to shrink our dreams of other things we could achieve together as a nation.

I guess we’ll be OK if we sing “Imagine” as the ChiCom tanks roll down Yonge St.

Afghan Murdered Woman Who Helped Migrants Flood EU ‘Because She Kept Talking About Her Christian Beliefs’

Suicidal sympathy did in Elisabeth-Jane Ross, and there are countless others like her. She devoted herself, under a Christian banner no less, to helping unvetted Muslim illegals destroy Europe’s cultural identity, as well as its security and economy. “Afghan, 26, ‘killed Brit woman, 38, and hid her body in suitcase because she kept talking about her Christian beliefs,’” by Harvey Geh, The Sun, August 3, 2026

Historic market town plunged into two nights of violence as angry protesters storm three properties ‘housing asylum seekers’

A market town has been engulfed by violence and disorder on two nights this week after angry residents stormed houses rumoured to be used by asylum seekers.

Frustration exploded into fury at three properties on Tuesday in Thetford, Norfolk, following weeks of protests at a nearby former military barracks which has already been earmarked to take 1,250 male migrants.

It continued last night, when two officers needed hospital treatment – one who was hit by a rock and another who was ‘seriously bitten’ during another protest. Three arrests have been made.

The NATO intern arrested last month by Belgian authorities on espionage charges has a work history with the Canadian government that is more extensive than previously reported, according to employment records she filed in court.

The Globe and Mail has previously reported that a source said the overseas posting was sponsored by Global Affairs Canada, and that the department was responsible for her security check.

Islamic Doctrine and Jury Service in Non-Muslim Courts

An X contributor wrote: “They shouldn’t be on jury duty as they always let their cousins off.”

A common complaint in Western countries is that Muslim jurors should not serve because “they always let their cousins off.” The remark is usually treated as a crude accusation of favouritism toward other Muslims or dismissed as “Islamophobia.” In reality it points to a deeper and well-documented difference in legal and moral rules.

Canada’s Fake GDP Growth: Fictitious Rents Add More Than Oil

Canada’s Fake GDP Growth: Fictitious Rents Add More Than Oil

Canada’s transition from a petro-currency to a mortgage-backed dollar no longer feels like a joke. While Statistics Canada (StatCan) data shows strong recent GDP growth, few realize where that expansion comes from. Oil and gas might capture the headlines, but in Q1 2026, nearly a quarter of growth came from owner-occupied GDP. More bluntly, Canada’s GDP isn’t driven by actual economic output—it’s being fuelled by fictional rents in a statistical model.

Trump says ‘nasty’ Canada ‘screwed’ U.S. with tariffs

Canada’s top trade officials are headed back to the negotiating table Thursday, a day after U.S. President Donald Trump extolled his tariff regime and lobbed insults against Canada.

Canada-U.S. Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc and Chief Trade Negotiator Janice Charette plan to meet U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer in Washington today at 1 p.m. ET, less than 24 hours after Trump leered at Canada’s “nasty” leadership.

“I love tariffs, right? Because we’ve been screwed by tariffs used against us for years. By China, by Japan, by South Korea, by Germany, by everybody, by Canada,” he said to jeers from the crowd at the Red Rock Casino.
