Canadian Prime Minister Mark “Elbows Up” Carney recently claimed that the United States is trying to break Canada apart to gain control of the country, while urging voters in oil-rich Alberta to reject the path toward independence in today’s (Oct. 19) referendum.

Speaking at a so-called “pro-Canada” rally in Calgary, Carney stated that the referendum is occurring at “the worst time possible” because the “the world has become more dangerous and divided.”
