The City of Tempe announced Tuesday that the symbol atop A Mountain, where other religious symbols have been displayed, was found ‘completely destroyed’ after being reinstalled just years ago.

I’M NOT sure that this is a good use of the Government’s time, what with the war and everything, but now it has made sure that our overseas territories are either unprotected or given away, and that we remain the most unreliable actor on the international stage, it has got back to doing the thing that it does best: interfering where it’s not wanted. This time by inventing concepts.
Under the impression that it has a mandate to run the English language along with the country, the regime has refreshed its approach to policing what we can say (and therefore think) by creating a definition of ‘Islamophobia’, a word which most of us thought was (at best) a neologism anyway.
Everyone is trying to read the tea leaves for the midterms. Democrats have been hyping their wins in very specialized races. And the Left has been declaring that it’s going to finish devouring and digesting the Democrats.
On paper, it should be looking good. The public is dissatisfied. The Left’s program of socialism disguised as economic populism and antisemitism disguised as anti-Zionism should be selling. Except the Illinois wipeout suggests it’s not.
I hope it gains momentum.
It’s not ‘Islamophobic’ to feel unsettled by these mass displays of religiosity in shared public spaces.
Of all the attractions of central London, a mass Islamic call to prayer is not one you would find listed in most guidebooks. But that is nonetheless the spectacle that more than a few perplexed tourists would have found themselves witnessing on Monday night in Trafalgar Square. Beneath Nelson’s Column, in front of the National Gallery, a large crowd of Muslims knelt in pious observance. There, facing the St-Martin-in-the-Fields church, London mayor Sadiq Khan and a few hundred fellow Muslims performed a public adhan to mark the end of Ramadan.

The terrorists, he vowed, would never win. “When they try to intimidate us, we will not be intimidated,” declared the then prime minister. “When they seek to change our country or our way of life by these methods, we will not be changed.”

Two decades later, it’s becoming ever clearer that the terrorists are indeed winning, that we are indeed intimidated, and that they have indeed succeeded in changing our country and our way of life. And if anyone doubts it, let me point out that we are about to pass the fifth anniversary of one of the most contemptible episodes in modern British history: the driving from public life of the Batley schoolteacher.
After Iran’s despotic regime and its proxies have been defeated militarily and politically, the next war has already begun. That war will be fought not only with swords, but with words and speech. It against a virulent ideology masquerading as a theology: Islamism, the belief that Muslims must dominate the world and eliminate, or convert all non-Muslims.

Its war-cry is “Globalize the Intifada;” its theme-song is “Death to Israel” its dream is martyrdom. For those who support it, it’s a raison d’etre. The second is against Hezbollah.
An Afghan man has been charged after six people were allegedly attacked with a crowbar inside a hospital waiting room.
Omar Momand, 20, is also accused of damaging a counter at Newton Community Hospital in Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside, on December 30 last year.
It is understood the attack unfolded after the suspect went into the hospital to request an appointment, which was denied.

Not worried enough yet by the government’s new definition of ‘anti-Muslim hostility’? Here’s another red flag: the mild, nuanced, or downright supportive responses it’s received from some of the worst people in Britain.
In the week or so since the definition was published, I’ve been tracking reactions across British Islam’s vast cosmos of professional offence-takers and grievance-mongers – sorry, diverse’n’vibrant civil society groups.

And how is it that the teacher involved in the catastrophe over images drawn of the Prophet Muhammad is still in hiding, in fear of his life four years after the event? Why are those involved in the threats and fearmongering not dealt with under British law? What happened to real equality?
Ottawa has reconvened its Expert Advisory Group on Online Safety, and one name is a cause for concern, Bernie Farber. The announcement from Canadian Heritage says Farber, founding chair emeritus of the Canadian Anti-Hate Network (CAHN), will again help guide federal policy on “online harms.”
The same release also says the panel’s 2022 advice helped shape Bill C-63, the Online Harms Act, which later died in January 2025. That alone should have set off alarm bells in Ottawa.
