It is rapidly starting to look like Covid 19 is the most treatable disease since the first man treated his thirst with a glass of water.
China has vehemently denied a Wall Street Journal report citing US intelligence materials that said several members of staff at a key virus laboratory in Wuhan had fallen ill shortly before the first patient with Covid-like symptoms was recorded in the city on 8 December 2019.
Foreign ministry spokesperson, Zhao Lijian, said it was “completely untrue” that three researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) became sick in autumn 2019. The report, based on “previously undisclosed” US intelligence, said the said the lab workers staff had become sick “with symptoms consistent with both Covid-19 and common seasonal illness”.

The Western world will have to weigh up what the damage would be to their economies and international relations if they accept the lab leak theory. Because if we do then we will also have to accept that the CCP was involved in a cover-up which turned the contagion in Wuhan from localised outbreak to global pandemic. It would follow from this that the CCP would have to be held responsible for three and a half million deaths worldwide, an act of mass-death, albeit one caused by the ineptitude of China’s bureaucracy and the breaking of scientific safety protocols in laboratories overseen by the CCP.
Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee just released a report citing “significant circumstantial evidence” that COVID-19 originated in a lab in Wuhan, China, and that Washington “may have funded or collaborated” in research leading to the outbreak — suspicions that in recent weeks have become pretty mainstream.
So two points: 1) Why didn’t Democrats sign on? 2) How foolish Facebook now looks for blocking The Post’s February 2020 column that first raised the Wuhan-lab-leak possibility.

In retrospect, it seems like Fauci was trying to protect himself, as it turns out that his National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases may have funded “controversial ‘gain of function’ research where coronaviruses were made ‘more infectious in humans,’” at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Ontario is reporting 1,691 cases of #COVID19 and over 31,200 tests completed. Locally, there are 455 new cases in Toronto, 326 in Peel and 173 in York Region.

Ontarians aged 12 and up can book COVID-19 vaccines through the provincial system starting today.
They can book through the provincial online portal, call centre and through pharmacies offering the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
The age group is becoming eligible a week ahead of schedule.

Some teenagers and young adults who received COVID-19 vaccines experienced heart inflammation, a U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advisory group said, recommending further study of the rare condition.
Otherwise, we will continue to fall into the same destructive pattern of crisis, vulnerability, and abuse of government power.

The latest advantage we have on our side is COVID-19 vaccines — the Get Out of Jail Free card that will help parts of the country that have been reluctant to impose strict public health measures mitigate another reopening disaster.
