5 Things You Need To Know About The Extremist ‘Equality Act’ House Democrats Just Passed

On Thursday, the House of Representatives passed the so-called Equality Act by a vote of 224 to 206. While Democrats have marketed this legislation as a simple civil rights law designed to protect LGBTQ people from discrimination, it is far from that.

The statutory language instead provides for an extreme remaking of all aspects of society, destroys the promise of equality for women, and threatens religious liberty and the privacy rights of all Americans, especially children. The proposed law also will upend state and federal protections of the unborn—yes, the Equality Act is about abortion too.

Libel notice served against Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam by Joe Volpe, publisher of Corriere Canadese, circulated at Council

The publisher of Italian-Canadian newspaper Corriere Canadese has served Toronto councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam with libel notice ahead of a motion to pull City advertising from a publication that distributed “homophobic and transphobic articles about the Toronto Catholic District School Board, its Trustees and its LGBTQ2S+ students.”

The motion, to be considered Friday, says numerous articles by Corriere Canadese publisher Joe Volpe fail to comply with the City’s human rights policies. These include an article describing a LGBT peer support group on the TCDSB’s website as “pornographic” and another article headlined “Time to put sexualized virtue-signalling thugs in their place.”

FBI launches investigation after bomb is thrown at anti-LGBT church in California weeks after pastor received threat and locals called its teachings hate speech

The FBI has launched an investigation after a bomb was thrown at an anti-LGBT church in California just weeks after the pastor received an arson attack threat.

Police and fire crews were called to the First Works Baptist Church at 2600 Tyler Avenue in El Monte in the early hours of Saturday morning to reports of an explosion.

The FBI said an improvised explosive device had been thrown at the building and it had also been covered in graffiti.

BBC lockdown home-schooling programme tells 9-year-olds there are ‘over 100 genders’ and shows kids talking to adults about ‘bi-gender’, ‘genderqueer’ and ‘pansexual’ identities

A BBC programme aimed at nine- to 12-year-olds includes the astonishing claim that there are ‘over 100 gender identities’.

The film, ‘Identity – Understanding Sexual and Gender Identities’, is being offered on the corporation’s website as part of its relationships and sex education package.

It comes despite Government guidance published last year which advised schools to exercise caution when teaching children about gender issues.

The year 2020 was tough for everyone, children and adults alike. Most school-age kids were forced to attend school virtually, at least for part of the year. This, combined with lockdowns, caused screen time use to surge.

More than usual, parents may fear kids aren’t learning well or are being exposed to things they aren’t yet mature enough to handle. On this, their intuition may be correct: 2020 saw an increase in LGBTQ-friendly marketing targeted at kids.

Same-sex couples banned from adopting children in Hungary

Same-sex couples have effectively been banned from adopting children in Hungary after a new law was passed.

Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced yesterday that only married couples can adopt, with some exceptions for single relatives of the child.

Same-sex marriage is illegal in Hungary, but adoption was previously possible if one single partner applied on their own.

A Starbucks barista has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against the company because she says she was fired for not wearing an LGBT PRIDE t-shirt.

Starbucks claims that her suit is “without merit,” that the company does not require employees to wear any item of clothing other than their trademark green apron.
