How Mark Zuckerberg I$ Trying to Take Over American New$papers

Big Tech billionaires, including Mark Zuckerberg, who already censor comments and news they don’t like, are now coming after your local paper.

The group Report for America is placing its hand-selected woke reporters into local newsrooms across America to cover “under-reported” stories such as climate issues, Census Bureau block parties, how vaccines are working, and hating Donald Trump.

Iran’s Khamenei Threatens Trump on Twitter. Twitter yawns.

On Saturday, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, tweeted: “Martyr Soleimani is an eternal reality that will live on forever. His assassins – including Trump & the like – will go down in history’s garbage bin, but of course after receiving retribution in this world for the crime they committed.” This is a clear threat, but Twitter has not banned or suspended Khamenei’s account. After all, he was threatening Donald Trump, and as far as Twitter is concerned, what could be wrong with that?

Dying Corporate Media Fail to Gaslight Public with January 6 Hysteria

The corporate media’s failure to gain any traction with this absurd January 6 hysteria is a heartening thing to witness.

Think about what’s happening right now… For an entire year, the organized left and the establishment media have been pooling all their corrupt resources to turn a mostly peaceful anti-vote-fraud protest into a threat to democracy, into the equivalent of 9/11 and Pearl Harbor.

As Omicron surges, O’Toole pressed on calls to ‘accommodate’ vaccine holdouts

Trying to be loved.

Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole on Thursday defended his most recent calls for the government to “accommodate” people who won’t get the COVID-19 vaccine.

Cases of the highly contagious Omicron variant are spreading rapidly around the world, shattering case counts in Canada and straining health-care systems already struggling two years into the pandemic.

Nurse ‘victimised’ for wearing cross at work was unfairly dismissed, tribunal rules

Mary Onuoha wins case against Croydon university hospital’s uniform policy that prohibited wearing necklaces

A nurse who claimed she was victimised for wearing a necklace with a Christian cross at work has won a case for unfair dismissal.

… According to the tribunal’s ruling, the wearing of jewellery, including necklaces, was “rife” among the trust’s workforce and was “widely tolerated” by management.

The trust allowed employees to wear other items of religious apparel such as headscarves, turbans and kalava bracelets. “There was no proper explanation as to why those items were permitted but a cross-necklace was not,” the ruling said.

The trust had “directly discriminated against and harassed” Onuoha, and her “dismissal had been both discriminatory and unfair”.

William Watson: Diversity from A to B

The CBC’s conception of ideological diversity apparently now ranges from far-left to hard-left

Tara Henley’s “ Why I quit the CBC ” article in Tuesday’s National Post confirmed the worst suspicions of conservative viewers and listeners. To work at CBC, Henley writes, “is to sign on, enthusiastically, to a radical political agenda that originated on Ivy League campuses in the United States and spread through American social media platforms that monetize outrage and stoke societal divisions. It is to pretend that the ‘woke’ worldview is near universal.”

Treasure hunters who believe they led FBI to huge cache of fabled Civil War-era gold in Pennsylvania sue the agency for failing to reveal what they found in secret excavation four years ago

A father-son duo of Pennsylvania treasure hunters have sued the FBI for failing to produce records chronicling a top-secret excavation the agency administered in the state nearly four years ago that may have yielded a $400million cache of Civil War-era gold.

Court documents unsealed earlier this year revealed that the bureau had in fact engaged in the previously undisclosed dig in Elk County in search of the fabled treasure, lost by the US government in 1863.

The filing attested that agents engaged in the dig came up empty-handed.

WARMINGTON: Opposition shockingly silent on PM’s hatred of unvaccinated Canadians

It’s not just that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau talked about a group of fellow Canadians with such gross malevolence that was shocking.

He’s done this before and makes no secret of his disdain for the unvaccinated.

What was equally as shocking is opposition leaders didn’t call him out on it. This should scare those in this unfairly outcast group who feel they are being phased out as employees, citizens and people free to go into public places.

Don’t silence conspiracy theorists

Our collective sense of horror needs an outlet

“…The attack on conspiracy theory — and the power of the elites to define it as such — is a dangerous one. And not just because of the threat it poses to free speech and the growing influence of big tech that it points out. It’s also because conspiracy theories are an understandable — and sometimes useful — response to a confusing world. To repress this very human instinct risks doing more harm than good.”

Russia’s Putin to NATO: Commit Suicide or Face All-Out War

Russia has threatened war if the United States and its NATO allies fail to comply — unconditionally — with sweeping demands for a new security arrangement in Europe.

The demands, issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry, require the United States to remove its nuclear umbrella from Europe and allow Russia to reestablish its Soviet-era sphere of influence over Eastern Europe.

The Russian demands, which effectively require NATO to commit suicide, are so obviously outrageous and unmeetable that Western analysts are split over interpreting Russian President Vladimir Putin’s motives. Some say he is using the impossible list of demands as a pretext to invade Ukraine. Others think he is playing a weak hand to try to divide the West and reorder Europe’s security architecture in Russia’s favor.

Rights court throws out UK gay wedding cake case

The European Court of Human Rights on Thursday rejected a case brought over a UK bakery’s refusal to bake a gay wedding cake, saying British legal options had to be exhausted before it would get involved.

Plaintiff Gareth Lee, who lives in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 2014 ordered a cake for a gay activist event scheduled shortly after the province’s assembly rejected legalising same-sex marriage for the third time.

FUREY: A former military leader breaks down what Ontario must do now

“… During Redman’s decades in the Canadian Armed Forces, he was involved in responses to disasters across the world and has seen very few best practices rolled out to deal with COVID-19. “In two years, the people that are in charge have completely shown themselves incapable of even managing their own system,” Redman contended.”
