Biden Advisor Says Social Media Companies Need To Silence Anyone Who Criticises Green Energy “Transition”

Beyond Batshit Crazy

One of Joe Biden’s senior advisors told a reporter this week that social media companies should be cracking down on and censoring anyone who speeds information critical of the administration’s so called ‘green energy transition’.

National climate advisor Gina McCarthy made the comments in an interview with a reporter for Axios, stating “Now it’s not so much denying the problem. What the [fossil fuel] industry is now doing is seeding doubt about the costs associated with [green energy] and whether they work or not.”

‘No regrets’: A Canadian volunteer wounded in Ukraine is coming home

Maybe it’s luck, or some kind of divine providence. According to the capricious nature of life in a war zone, JT should not be alive.

Yet there he is — a Canadian military volunteer in Ukraine who beat the odds.

The former military combat engineer fought through the bloodied grape fields of Kandahar during Canada’s war in Afghanistan. He first came within a whisker of death in 2006, when he and his fellow soldiers were strafed accidentally by an American A-10 ground attack jet.

The never ending vaccine – COVID-19: Canada to update its ‘fully-vaccinated’ definition

The federal government plans to change its definition of what it means to be fully protected against COVID-19 to reflect advice that a number of health experts have been recommending for months, including Canada’s top doctors.

Currently, federal employees are considered fully vaccinated if they have two doses of one of Health Canada’s approved vaccines.

Twitter bans accounts threatening Libs of TikTok after Elon Musk gets involved

When the Twitter account Libs of TikTok reported threats, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, the probable future owner of the social media site, brought more attention to the issue.

Libs of TikTok is an account that reposts short videos from left-wing social media users. Musk tagged Twitter in his response to the account’s Twitter thread, where its creator reported several instances of threatening behavior online.

“Why?” Musk asked.

Antisemitic sculpture can stay on church: German high court

Germany’s high court ruled against a Jewish man’s bid to remove a 700-year old antisemitic sculpture from the side of a church in the eastern city of Wittenberg on Tuesday. The decision from the Federal Court of Justice (BGH) ends a long-running dispute over the relief on the side of a church where Protestant Reformation leader Martin Luther once preached.

The sculpture depicts the medieval antisemitic trope of a “Judensau” or “Jewish pig,” and shows Jewish people suckling on a sow while a rabbi lifts its tail. It is one of 20 such statues or reliefs that remain in churches and historical buildings across Europe.

The new war on Islamism

The West has been terrorised into silence

Art and Islam often seem like oil and water. Other times, they behave like matches and gasoline.

It is hard to believe that more than 30 years have passed since Ayatollah Khomeini issued his fatwa against Salman Rushdie for The Satanic Verses — longer ago than the fall of the Berlin Wall. I also experienced the combustion created when art meets Islam, back in 2004.

‘I could not be part of this crime’: the Russians fighting for Ukraine

Walking around Kyiv in his new Ukrainian military attire, Igor Volobuyev felt as if he finally fulfilled his purpose.

For weeks after leaving Russia for Ukraine, the former vice-president of Gazprombank spent his days trying to convince officials to provide him with Ukrainian documents and allow him to sign up for military service to fight against a country where he had spent most of his adult life.

“The moment war broke out, I knew right away I wanted to go and defend Ukraine,” Volobuyev said in an interview in the Ukrainian capital.

Don Martin: The fall of Justin Trudeau has begun

The Justin Trudeau brand is in trouble.

The 2015 fresh prince of politics with the celebrity hair and rock star aura is heading into a 2022 summer of inflation-driven Canadian discontent as a faded force of personality in need of an exit strategy.

You know there’s a reputation hit happening when Trudeau becomes the unnamed star of a children’s book “How the Prime Minister Stole Freedom,” a satire about his handling of the Freedom Convoy and vaccination mandates, which now sits atop the Amazon Canada bestseller list.

Jewish Life in Germany ‘Under Massive Threat’ – But from whom?

… Under the guise of ‘Israel criticism,’ they [the Muslims] use classic anti-Semitic stereotypes, identifying Israel as having ‘Jewish characteristics’: ‘domineering,’ ‘greedy’ or a ‘child killer,’” sociologist Imke Kummer observed about the marchers.

The German government has a long record of downplaying Muslim antisemitism, and of exaggerating “far-right” antisemitism. Curiously, however, some of the incidents documented at the al-Quds Day march in Berlin have been classified by authorities as forms of far-right antisemitism, independent watchdog groups have discovered.

Ukraine: Time for the West to make up its mind

The indecision of its allies could doom the country to a long war of attrition that’s to Russia’s advantage.

Asked recently why international powers that lined up on the side of the White Army in Russia’s barbaric civil war failed to affect the outcome, military historian Antony Beevor noted the West “couldn’t make up their minds” — the international backers of the Bolsheviks’ opponents were divided and hesitant.

Another key factor in the defeat of the Cossacks and the White Armies in the south of Russia was the difficulty in resupplying them. “The Reds had a huge advantage with internal lines [of supply],” Beevor told the BBC’s History magazine.

That’s what saved the Bolsheviks in late 1919 — to the frustration of Britain’s then Secretary of State for War Winston Churchill. “I can’t believe this. The Reds were in full retreat, and now suddenly they seem to be beating the Whites on every front. What’s happened?” an exasperated Churchill noted in a memo.

‘There is a rich tradition of black gun ownership’

BLACK NRA Members

Maj Toure on how the Second Amendment was essential to the fight for black liberation.

The US’s Second Amendment is often dismissed as reactionary – as white supremacist, even. We’re told that the only people interested in preserving the right to bear arms are racist, rural-dwelling white men.

For Maj Toure, founder of Black Guns Matter, this gets things completely the wrong way around. Gun control, he argues, was historically rooted in racism and the Second Amendment was essential to the fight for black liberation.

No, Google AI is not sentient

In 1956, AI pioneer Herbert Simon wrote: ‘Over the Christmas holiday, Al Newell and I invented a thinking machine.’ Time has not quite vindicated his claim; few would think that the logical theorem-prover he built in a few hundred lines of code displays ‘thinking’ in any human sense of the term. But it does raise the question: why would someone as clearly brilliant as Simon believe something so patently fanciful?
