On Saturday night in Kyiv, you could hear the beat of techno music coming from behind the thick line of trees along a busy road as an air-raid siren wailed, warning of a possible attack.

A path winding through the wooded area led to an open-air industrial site where people danced in the fog of artificial smoke to a DJ performing on a stage that flashed red and gold lights. It was only 6:30 p.m. − the whole party being held under a bright blue sky.

So your tax dollars are being used to make the world safe for Ukraine’s Drag Queens. That’s just swell.

Germany: Afghan migrant committs mass groping and attempted rape against underage girls at swimming pool, judge has already released him

A 21-year-old Afghan migrant has been arrested for a mass groping attack and attempted rape against underage girls at a German swimming pool in Schwäbisch Gmünd.

At least four girls aged 12 to 14 were victims of sexual assaults last Saturday afternoon at the swimming pool, where the 21-year-old suspect reportedly groped their buttocks and thighs as well as trying to pull off their bikinis.

The Detroit-based trucking family that has owned and operated the Ambassador Bridge between Detroit and Windsor since the 1970s appears to have found powerful backing for their business interests.

The billionaire head of that family is Matthew Moroun. He made a million-dollar campaign donation to MAGA Inc. back in January, according to campaign finance reports. In early February, Trump pushed back on the opening of the bridge, saying on Feb. 9 that he would block it.

Germany considers reintroducing military conscription

Germany is considering reintroducing compulsory military conscription for all men by 2027.

The country has attempted to bolster its armed forces through volunteer schemes to counter the growing threat from Russia, but lawmakers fear this is insufficient.

Thomas Röwekamp, chairman of the German parliament’s defence committee, warned that Berlin would have little choice but to revive conscription if ambitious recruitment targets were not met.

Afghans who groomed 17-year-old girl with vodka and cigarettes before gang-raping her then fleeing UK in back of a lorry are found guilty

Four Afghans who groomed a teenage girl with alcohol and cigarettes then gang-raped her have been found guilty.

Mehrab Safi, 21, Salman Habibkheil and Awal Ahmadzai, both 19, and a boy, 17, who cannot be named, attacked the 17-year-old girl at a house in Bristol in November last year.

Safi, Ahmadzai and Habibkheil left the UK in December – concealing themselves in the back of a lorry – following the incident and were later discovered by French authorities in Calais.

WARMINGTON: Critics worry Palestinian displacement exhibit in Winnipeg missing full context

They are billing it as the opening of an exhibit in Winnipeg to show decades of mistreatment of Palestinians.

But there does not seem to be any reference to a display on the execution of Palestinian people by Hamas firing squads on the streets in Gaza in 2025.

All the blame for the plight of Palestinians, instead, seems to be aimed at Israel – all paid for by Canadian taxpayers.

US and Iran trade strikes as both sides accuse the other of endangering ceasefire

The US military has launched further strikes on multiple targets in Iran, a day after it struck Iran in retaliation for a drone attack on a cargo ship in the strait of Hormuz.

US Central Command (Centcom) said its strikes were in “direct response to continued Iranian aggression against commercial shipping” and that it had targeted Iran’s “military surveillance infrastructure, communication systems, air defense sites, drone storage facilities, and minelayer capabilities” in response.

Quick-release bail laws undermine faith in Canada’s justice system

Since mid-April, Joseph Kidd of the Northern Alberta city of Grande Prairie, has been arrested on sexual assault charges three times and released shortly after each arrest, only to allegedly reoffend within a matter of days.

Anyone wondering whether the justice system is failing Canadians need look no further than the Kidd case. Should the charges against him stand up in court, you’d have to wonder why he was put back on the streets to reoffend after the first time, much less the third.
