Wilders Runs Again

Finally, Western Europeans are taking to the streets for the right reasons. Well, some Western Europeans in some parts of Western Europe, anyway, and at least partly for the right reasons. In France, where street protests (often violent) are as central to the culture as wine, brie, and the cinematic genius of Jerry Lewis, they’ve been rampaging recently over proposed government budget cuts, but back in April they were kicking up a fuss over a blatantly partisan ruling that declared Marine Le Pen ineligible to run for office until 2030. In Britain, of course, Tommy Robinson’s peaceful Unite the Kingdom rally on September 13 drew – depending on whom you listen to – either 3 million protesters or just barely enough people to form a basketball team. (In the pictures, it sure looked like millions.)

Report: Soros Foundation Sent Millions to Terror-Tied Groups

Since 2016, George Soros’s Open Society Foundations has given more than $80 million (€68.13 million) to groups that are allegedly tied to terrorism or extremist violence, a new report has claimed.

It comes shortly after sources told journalists that the FBI is investigating leftist groups for possible ties to the killing of Charlie Kirk. The Washington-based Capital Research Center (CRC) that produced this report is also looking into whether Alex Soros, who was handed his father’s multi-billion dollar empire in 2023, will “build on his father’s legacy” or “tear it down.”

Ottawa Detective Found Guilty for Examining Child Deaths and COVID Vaccine Thinks About Case ‘Every Waking Moment’

OTTAWA—Helen Grus, an Ottawa Police detective found guilty of discredible conduct for investigating the COVID-19 vaccination status of the mothers of deceased infants, says she still thinks about the case frequently.

“When I sleep, I sleep soundly, but when I am awake, I do think of this every single breathing moment that I’m awake. About what has happened, what is happening, what will the future bring,” Grus said in an interview with The Epoch Times at a fundraiser for her legal case in Ottawa on Sept. 20.

Is burning the Koran a more serious crime than assault?

In central London in February, Turkey-born asylum seeker Hamit Coskun was attacked with a knife and violently assaulted. His assailant, Moussa Kadri, swung at him multiple times with a bread knife. ‘I’m going to kill you’, Kadri said, before kicking and spitting on Coskun as he fell to the ground. Yet it is the victim of this harrowing assault, not his attacker, who committed the more serious crime in the eyes of the English justice system. Because prior to being attacked, Coskun had burned a copy of the Koran.

Peter MacKinnon: Canadians should thank Steven Pinker for denouncing DEI in Parliament

Observers who take issue with current orthodoxies (race-based quotas, compulsory support for racial diversity policies) are often denounced or sidetracked in the country’s universities and other public institutions. Widespread discrimination is practiced in the name of these orthodoxies while the liberal democratic principle of non-discrimination — Section 15(1) of our Charter of Rights and Freedoms — recedes from public view and effect in the name of affirmative action.

The Left’s Line on Violence Is Blurring—and a German Youth Leader Just Crossed It

The controversy surrounding Jette Nietzard, federal spokesperson of the German Green Youth, has highlighted a profoundly dangerous trend: the growing acceptance of violence as a political tool in left-wing circles. Nietzard’s repeated suggestions that armed resistance may be justified if Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) were to enter government reflect a rhetoric that risks legitimizing the use of force against democratic outcomes.

The comments of the U.S. Ambassador to Canada reveal a shocking ignorance and disdain

Most Canadians say they’ll never trust the United States the way they once did, according to a new poll.

Conducted by Ipsos for Global News, the poll found that 60 per cent of those surveyed believe Canada won’t ever be able to rely on their southern neighbour the same way, while 71 per cent feel the trade dispute that upended the countries’ long-standing friendship will continue for years.

These results have no doubt perplexed and angered some Americans, including the current U.S. Ambassador to Canada, Pete Hoekstra.

Given that we have the best tariff deal anywhere and have spent years freeloading under the USA’s protective wing I suggest the Elbow People tone it down.

Kimmel is a disgusting liar.

Quebec bans gender-inclusive writing in state communications

Quebec is banning the use of gender-neutral inclusive language in all official communications.

French-language Minister Jean-François Roberge will present legislation at the National Assembly to this effect Wednesday.

He said newly emerging gender-neutral words, which are often used by transgender and non-binary people, create “incoherence” in Quebec’s official language.

Because nouns are gendered, Roberge’s rules also prohibit writing in a way that neutralizes them. Newer neutral pronouns like “iel” – which is used similarly to “they” in English – won’t be allowed either.
