Report: Trump donated $10,000 to illegal West Bank settlement

Former MK and Beit El Founder Yaakov Katz told the Galey Israel radio station yesterday that Trump’s gift was made in honour of his friend David Friedman, who went on to become his Jewish adviser and whom Trump last week nominated as the next US ambassador to Israelthe Times of Israel reported.

The liberals keep telling us that Trump is literally Hitler, and now they’re mad because he helped the Jews? This must be that cognitive dissonance I keep hearing about.

Arab boycott of Palestine

“…decades of Israeli oppression” blah blah blah. Here’s the interesting bit:

‘Palestinians no longer have any hope in a political or military solution. Time and Arabs’ attitudes toward the Palestinian cause have proven that it is merely a soccer ball they play to serve their own interests.
It is prohibited to buy from the Palestinians, to sell to them, to visit them, to host them, to pray in their mosques or to play football with them. The Arab League must be blind and deaf not to distinguish between the victim and the executioner, between the occupier and the occupied. It is time to reconsider the concept and policy on how to deal with Palestine and Israel.‘ (Emphases mine.)’

The Arab League, incidentally, will not allow that Jordan has any claims to the West Bank. Because from their point of view it would be a bloody disaster if the sainted martyred Palestinians were liberated from those fiendish Jews and handed over to an Arab, Muslim country. How under those circumstances could they keep agitating for the Palestinian state that they know is never going to exist?

Someone is oppressing the Palestinians and it’s not Israel.

Will Obama Back a Palestinian State?

There has never been a president that has treated the Congress with such disdain as has President Barack Obama. After Senators Bob Corker and Ben Cardin struck a bipartisan compromise to allow Congress to weigh in on the Iran deal, Obama refused to abide by it. He took the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) to the United Nations before Congress had a chance to review it, and he continues to refuse to supply all the side agreements as required by the Corker-Cardin legislation.

Report: Apple Includes Palestinian Flag Among New iOS 9 Emojis

The Palestinian flag is likely to be among the national symbols included as part of the emoji line-up of Apple’s new iOS 9 operating system, Israel’s NRG reported on Wednesday.

The version of the upcoming iOS 9 referenced by the report is still in development stage, and is expected to undergo a number of changes before it is released to the general public.

However, if no changes are made to the emojis featured in the new operating system, the Palestinian flag will remain available to iPhone users internationally…

Why is there no BDS against China for its Occupation of Tibet?

The Tibetan army prepare to defend themselves against China in 1950. Source.

This is what US President Barack Obama said when the Dalai Lama visited the White House in February 2014:

“The President reiterated his strong support for the preservation of Tibet’s unique religious, cultural, and linguistic traditions and the protection of human rights for Tibetans in the People’s Republic of China….In this context, the President reiterated the U.S. position that Tibet is part of the People’s Republic of China and that the United States does not support Tibet independence….”

Note the difference in tone when the president speaks of the Palestinian Arab bid for independent statehood:

“The Palestinians deserve to be free in their own land.”

“The status quo in Palestine is unsustainable.”

Why has President Obama never made similar statements about Tibet?…

They raided the hotel restaurant to discover human heads which were still dripping with blood in plastic bags.

Letters, National Post: Pope pandering to Islam

Pope Francis exchanges gifts with the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, left, and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva, right, during a private audience at the Vatican this month. Ninety-three percent of Azerbaijanis are Muslim.

Surely the recognition of Palestine as a state should come with some conditions — for example, recognition by the Palestine Liberation Organization and its backers Israel is also a state. This would go a long way in lubricating the peace process.
John Krasznai, Burlington, Ont.

Given the long, tragic history of the Roman Catholic Church’s anti-semitism, the decision to recognize a state of Palestine reflects the inadequacy of the current pope.

I seriously doubt his intellectually far-superior predecessor, Benedict XVI, would have agreed to take this dreadfully misguided and deeply offensive step, whatever his personal views might be.
Joseph Berger, Toronto.

Cherson & Molschky on Vatican recognition of ‘Palestine’

The Vatican recognizes ‘Palestine’, but does it also recognize Palestinian terrorism and the intent to wipe Israel off the map?

The Vatican has officially recognized the ‘State of Palestine’, which endorses terrorism against innocent Israeli citizens. ‘Palestine’ does not want to live alongside Israel, which it refuses to recognize as the Jewish State, and has rejected every offer for real statehood, choosing terrorism over peace each time. This so-called ‘State’ considers all of Israel ‘occupied Palestine’, and its number one priority is to destroy it.

Some simple facts…

Vatican recognizes state of Palestine in new treaty

The Vatican officially recognized the state of Palestine in a new treaty Wednesday, drawing criticism from Jerusalem.

The treaty, which was finalized Wednesday but still has to be signed, makes clear that the Holy See has switched its diplomatic relations from the Palestinian Liberation Organization to the state of Palestine.

The Vatican had welcomed the decision by the UN General Assembly in 2012 to recognize a Palestinian state.

But the treaty is the first legal document negotiated between the Holy See and the Palestinian state and constitutes an official recognition.

“Yes, it’s a recognition that the state exists,” said the Vatican spokesman, the Rev. Federico Lombardi.

Israeli officials criticized the Vatican announcement.

“We’re disappointed by the decision taken by the Holy See. We believe that such a decision is not conducive to bringing the Palestinians back to the negotiating table,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Emmanuel Nahshon told The Times of Israel…

UK’s Labour leader says he would recognize Palestine at right moment

(Reuters) – The leader of Britain’s opposition Labour Party said on Friday he favored recognizing Palestine as a state if such a move would help bring about a broader peace deal in the Middle East.

Ed Miliband was asked by a reporter if Britain would recognize Palestine in the first year or two of his premiership, if Labour wins national elections on May 7.

Miliband said Labour backed a symbolic vote held last year in Britain’s parliament in favor of recognizing Palestine…
