Radical Normie Terrorism

Why are Middle American families producing monsters?

In the 1960s and 1970s, America witnessed a wave of political terrorism. Left-wing radicals hijacked airplanes, set bombs in government buildings, and assassinated police officers in service of political goals. The perpetrators were almost always organized, belonging to groups like the Weathermen or the Black Liberation Army. These groups demanded the release of prisoners, denounced capitalism, or called for violent revolution against the United States. Their members were radical but largely lucid, justifying their actions with appeals to a higher cause.

Jamie Sarkonak: Calgary rapist’s racial sentence discount is the opposite of justice

The Crown prosecutor handling the case of a 25-year-old half-Cree man who pleaded guilty to repeatedly raping a 12-year-old girl in Calgary — among many other vile things — believed 12 to 15 years would make a fair sentence; 10, if you count his mitigating factors. But the judge arrived at merely eight. Why? Because the offender was Indigenous.

SOS: Stop China at Scarborough or Face the Chinese Off California

On September 16, Chinese and Philippine vessels collided near Scarborough Shoal in the South China Sea.

At the same time, two Chinese Coast Guard ships blasted the BRP Datu Gumbay Paing, a Filipino fisheries ship, with water cannons for almost a half hour. The belligerent action resulted in “significant damage” to the boat and injuries to a Philippine sailor.

Is Russia laying groundwork for strike on Nato?

Any Nato staff hoping for a quiet September must be feeling disappointed. Estonia has sought consultations with other Alliance members after three Russian fighter jets violated its air space on Friday morning. Lest this appear a one-off accident, Russian drones this month breached Poland’s and Romania’s skies, bringing Nato — in the words of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk — “the closest we have been to open conflict since World War Two”.

Whatever the Left Expected, It Wasn’t What It Got

Over the last weekend, I was doing some personal research on German POWs here in America. It was just a personal curiosity, really, and nothing more serious than that. While I was doing this, I was also monitoring the Charlie Kirk memorial service. It was from that strange combination of activities that I came to a recognition of something I’ve not seen anyone talk about.

Barry Appleton: Canada’s ‘hopium’ U.S. trade strategy all talk, no troops

Canada just announced consultations for the Canada-United States-Mexico (CUSMA) trade agreement, copying America’s homework while forgetting we don’t have the same tools to complete the assignment. It’s like showing up to a gunfight with a strongly-worded letter.

Here’s the stark reality: The United States has over 700 trade experts on standby, ready to defend their interests. Canada? Zero. We dismantled our Sectoral Advisory Groups on International Trade (SAGITs) in 2013 to save pennies. Now we’re paying in billions.
