The Irresponsible Generation: The Islamization of Europe Dooms Our Children

Even if, as the European Right demands, the flow of Muslim immigration were to be completely halted today, the proportion of Muslims in Europe would continue to grow rapidly due to pure demographic logic, as years ago confirmed by Pew Research Center’s “Europe’s Growing Muslim Population”: they are younger, have much higher fertility rates than locals, and the vast majority consider abortion morally unacceptable, so the percentage of Islamic women who have abortions is minimal.

Beyond official statistics, anyone of my generation, or those aged 40 and older, has had the opportunity to witness the contrast in colors and cultures between the neighborhoods where we grew up—whether in Madrid or Berlin—and the image those same neighborhoods present today. Much has been written about the consequences of illegal immigration on security, the saturation of social services, and the loss of Europe’s Christian identity. However, the problem is less frequently approached from the perspective of generational responsibility.

Conservative, NDP caucuses weighing a budget vote that could trigger an election: sources

The Conservative and NDP caucuses are grappling with what to do about the upcoming federal budget and whether they want to be part of an effort to trigger an election by voting it down, multiple sources told CBC News.

Senior Conservative sources say the party’s leadership does not want an election right now, but they are also opposed to voting for the new Liberal government’s first budget given the potential reputational risk of backing Prime Minister Mark Carney and an agenda they simply don’t support.

Trump’s ‘Golden Dome’ missile defence system offers nothing but the illusion of safety

It’s certainly worrisome, as we’re discovering, that U.S. President Donald Trump has so much sway over our economy.

What’s even more worrisome, but rarely mentioned, is that this volatile, vengeful, vindictive, reckless and deeply unpredictable man also has control over the world’s most powerful nuclear arsenal.

Of course, Canadians don’t get to determine who sits in the Oval Office. But we do have some options how to respond.

CBC hired 84 percent racialized, Indigenous, or disabled while having job vacancies for top talent: Internal report

The CBC far exceeded its “equity representation” target in the last fiscal year, with 84.1 percent of new hires being “Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities, and racialized people,” according to the public broadcaster’s new corporate report. In the “reflecting contemporary Canada” subsection, the report shows the CBC had aimed for 65 percent of new hires to fall within the three groups, but surpassed it by 19 percentage points.

Some employment lawyers believe the CBC’s fixation on race and disabilities in its hiring process is limiting the broadcaster from accurately reflecting the Canadian population, and could fall into hiring discrimination.

The Uxbridge killing is the final straw

His name was Wayne Broadhurst. He was 49 years old. He reportedly worked as a refuse collector. He was by all accounts well liked in his local town. And yesterday his life was ended in the most savage manner imaginable. He was stabbed to death as he walked his dog on a brisk, bright Tuesday afternoon. The suspect is a 22-year-old Afghan national, who came to Britain on the back of a lorry in 2020 and was subsequently granted asylum.

The attack took place in chill, suburban Uxbridge, a part of outer London I know well. A 45-year-old man and his 14-year-old son were also stabbed.

Palestinians Still Prefer Hamas and ‘Armed Struggle’ Against Israel

Those who thought that Hamas’s October 7, 2023 attack on Israel and the ensuing war in the Gaza Strip have made Palestinians change their minds about the terror group are in for a rude awakening.

More than half of Palestinians continue to support the atrocities committed by Hamas against Israelis and foreign nationals on October 7. Moreover, the terror group remains popular among a large number of Palestinians. Support for Hamas means support for the destruction of Israel through Jihad (holy war).

Pentagon readying thousands of Guard ‘reaction forces’ as U.S. mission widens

The Pentagon has ordered thousands of specialized National Guard personnel to complete civil unrest mission training over the next several months, an indication that the Trump administration’s effort to send uniformed military forces into urban centers — once reserved for extraordinary emergencies — could become the norm.

The Defense Department’s newly established “quick reaction force” within the National Guard must be trained, equipped with riot-control gear and ready for deployment by Jan. 1, according to internal documents reviewed by The Washington Post. The 200 troops will be drawn from National Guard personnel whose primary focus is responding to disasters like nuclear accidents and terrorist attacks, the documents said.

Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne is due to table this government’s first budget next week and it’s expected to include major investments in the military, housing and support for workers and businesses affected by the U.S. trade war, but also some sizable cuts to other spending.
