Study found Canadians were more likely to be swayed than Americans
Talking with an AI chatbot can successfully convince people to change their votes and could affect the outcome of future elections, according to a new study.
The study, which included 1,530 Canadians, also found that the chatbots had more success convincing Canadians to switch their votes than it did with Americans.
Gordon Pennycook, a Canadian and associate professor at Cornell University, said the study set out to discover how persuasive generative AI could be when it comes to politics.

Sitting in a pub with a glass of mulled wine, while loudly singing along to a Christmas song, is a much-loved tradition of the festive season.
But its days may be numbered as pub landlords must ban “offensive” lyrics under new laws requiring them to take “all reasonable steps” to protect staff from third-party harassment.
The smartest thing his mother ever did was living as long as she could. She knew what he was and, more importantly, what he was not. https://t.co/4KlTluqtd0

Does promoting a Palestinian Arab terror state constitute support for Israel or is it exactly bowing down to terrorism
When the history books are written will Canada be seen to stand with freedom-respecting nations or with totalitarian Islamist terrorists?
Anyone who promotes a Palestinian Arab state is in fact standing with Jihad and murder. It is clear that Canadian young people, like the Australians, are being mis-educated and the media is confused about the history of Israeli offers of land for a Palestinian Arab autonomy – which were met with increased terrorism as the jihadists were encouraged that they were getting closer to their genocidal goals.

Father Christmas is too white and should stop putting children on the naughty list, a museum has said.
Brighton and Hove Museums claimed Santa Claus needed to be decolonised in the name of diversity, in a blog on its website.
The blog also said that Santa should work alongside elves in the name of equality and a “Mother Christmas” would help tackle the patriarchy.
I think they should be beaten with sticks.

Freedom in Canada is dying slowly and gradually, not by a single fell swoop, but by a thousand cuts. How did the United Kingdom end up arresting thousands of its citizens (more than 30 per day) over their Facebook, X, and other social media posts? This Orwellian nightmare was achieved one small step at a time. No single step was deemed worthy of fierce and effective opposition by British citizens. The citizens of what was once a free nation adapted begrudgingly to the slow-but-steady elimination of their freedoms, including privacy and freedom from state surveillance.
Likewise in Canada, too few Canadians have spoken out against the federal government gradually taking over the internet through a series of bills with innocuous and even laudable titles.

Imagine if we abolished the Indian Act and removed special legal status for indigenous peoples.
Then, treaties were terminated, and federal responsibility for indigenous affairs was transferred to the provinces.
What if we eliminated “Indian Status” and assimilated indigenous peoples into mainstream Canadian society as equal citizens?

While the world salivates over the just-released images of Bill Clinton “frolicking” with various females at Jeffrey Epstein’s Bide-a-Wile island hideaway, the steady drumbeat of anti-Trump propaganda is picking up speed, intensity, and insanity. Last month, in an effort to “Bidenize” (thank you, Byron York), The New York Anti-Trump Times published a surreal, reality-free article under the headline “Shorter Days, Signs of Fatigue: Trump Faces Realities of Aging in Office.” This is about the human whirlwind that is Donald Trump, the indefatigable powerhouse who thinks nothing of traveling across the globe in the morning in order to broker peace in some far-off hellhole before returning in the wee hours to prepare for a Cabinet meeting that is open to the press.

The following are among the abuses and murders inflicted on Christians by Muslims throughout the month of October 2025.
The Muslim Slaughter of Christians
Mozambique: On Oct. 8, the Islamic State Mozambique Province (ISMP) terror group launched a series of savage attacks targeting Christian communities in Cabo Delgado and Nampula provinces. The assaults resulted in the beheading of 30 Christians, widespread arson, and the destruction of at least five churches and 100 homes. Many other Christians—including women and their daughters—were herded away. The Muslim terrorists later boasted of their handiwork by releasing photos of themselves beheading and shooting civilians at close range.

If the theme of 2025 in Canadian politics was to expect the unexpected, the ways in which the political world turned upside down will reverberate into 2026. Everyone will have their own surprise developments of this truly tumultuous year, but here are my top five picks for the big country-shaking shifts of 2025.

Another year of useless UN pronouncements and conferences.
The United Nations is closing out 2025 with another sorry record on key issues in which it has involved itself. The UN has been sidelined in efforts to bring peace in Gaza and Ukraine. And, once again, the UN has embarrassed itself with apocalyptic pronouncements and another useless conference regarding climate change.

The young and ambitious are fleeing the stagnant coastal states for the booming heartland.
‘For many states that were once great have now become small; and those that were great in my time were small formerly. Knowing therefore that human prosperity never continues in one stay.’ So wrote Herodotus in his Histories, in the fifth century BC. He reminds us that world history is not a morality tale between the ‘powerful’ and their victims. Rather, societies evolve, grow stronger and overcome weaker ones. People – and, more recently, capital – migrate to places that offer greater opportunities.

RICHMOND, British Columbia—Harry Hogler has a deep attachment to his land. He grew up a farmer, and when he founded a golf course here 30 years ago, his favorite part was moving dirt around what had once been a peat bog.
In October, Hogler received the shock of a lifetime: He is going to have to share ownership of his land.
British Columbia’s Supreme Court had ruled that a group of indigenous tribes, the Cowichan Nation, has a “senior and prior” right to private land on a roughly 730-acre tract in Richmond, including his Country Meadows Golf Course.
The court order could leave private property in 95% of British Columbia vulnerable to claims from indigenous groups that have been seeking to reclaim ownership of land taken from them scores of years ago, said government officials and property lawyers.
