A new nativity scene that has recently been unveiled at St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican has attracted quite a lot of attention online already, but perhaps not of the kind its creators were hoping for.
Ontario reported nearly 2,300 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, in part due to timing changes in how numbers are gathered, shattering all previous records for case growth in a day.
But Tuesday’s data also revealed troubling increases in hospitalizations, test positivity and hospitalizations due to COVID-19.
Majority of Canadians in favour of holiday lockdown to help fight coronavirus surge: poll
A new poll suggests a majority of Canadians support the idea of a lockdown on non-essential businesses and services during the holidays to fight a surge in new COVID-19 cases across the country.
Sixty-five per cent of respondents in the poll conducted by Leger and the Association for Canadian Studies said they supported a general lockdown in their province during Christmas and New Year’s to tackle the pandemic versus 29 per cent who opposed the idea.
The problem with “The Great Reset” as espoused by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the United Nations and the World Economic Forum is not that it’s a conspiracy or a blueprint for dictatorship.
To the contrary, they’re telling us exactly what they want to do.
Visitors to the Toronto Voluntary Isolation Centre get free Wi-Fi, three catered meals daily, and a personalized welcome note from medical officer of health Dr. Eileen de Villa — but no room key, an effort to encourage those with COVID-19 to stay inside their rooms.
The isolation hotel, the first of its kind in Canada when it opened three months ago, is by all accounts safe, quiet and comfortable. Yet only about 150 people have opted to use the facility so far, a fraction of its peak capacity.
It’s not because of a lack of need. Cramped, unsuitable housing, where self-isolation may be difficult or impossible, continues to be a major driver of new infections in the city, data suggests.
OTTAWA: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he will leverage COVID-19 recovery to implement a more ambitious anti-global warming plan. Trudeau made the announcement in a pre-recorded video released on December 12 to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the UN Paris Climate Accord.
The World Health Organization’s head should be probed over genocide, a claim filed with the ICC by a US Nobel Peace Prize nominee says, adding that the Ethiopian may be involved in many crimes at home.
The current World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus “was a crucial decision maker in relation to security service actions that included killing, arbitrarily detaining and torturing Ethiopians,” a complaint filed with the International Criminal Court (ICC) says.
A Toronto restaurant is allowed to reopen its takeout and delivery services after its owner was charged for openly defying provincial COVID-19 orders to close last month.
Dr. Eileen de Villa, Toronto’s medical officer of health, released a statement on Dec. 14, lifting the requirements of the Section 22 order under the Health Protection and Promotion Act (HPPA) that ordered the closure of Adamson Barbecue in Etobicoke.
“Significantly, the computer system shows vote adjudication logs for prior years; but all adjudication log entries for the 2020 election cycle are missing. The adjudication process is the simplest way to manually manipulate votes. The lack of records prevents any form of audit accountability, and their conspicuous absence is extremely suspicious since the files exist for previous years using the same software,” the report, authored by Russell Ramsland, states.
“The communist regime thrives on weakness and Mr. Trudeau is seen as weak, and, in fact, probably too biased in his view of what the communist regime really stands for,” O’Toole said in a year end interview on True North’s The Andrew Lawton Show.
There’s an undeniable pleasure in imagining the blue states cut off from America and forced to fend for themselves without normal Americans to feed them, fuel them, and defend them from the kind of dirtbags they kiss up to in order to show us knuckle-dragging Jesus-folk what for. But secession is a terrible idea, for them, but more importantly, for us. And while I don’t think America will unravel anytime soon – though those of us who read real history instead of silly oppression studies dreck understand that all great civilizations do eventually collapse – it remains possible that our country could fall apart in the short-term. Heaven knows the idiots in our useless Establishment seem to be doing everything possible to make that happen. That thought itself should be enough to inspire you to get fighting for the Constitution, using its provisions twice as hard despite the election theft last month, while hedging your bets with a 5.56mm rainy day fund.
The new figure provided by CRA suggests how broad the problem might be. According to federal figures, 8.9 million Canadians applied for CERB. That means nearly 5 per cent of applicants have received letters saying they may not be eligible and could be forced to repay benefits.
Massive data leak shows Chinese Communist Party members embedded in world governments, global corporations
The names and personal details of nearly 2 million members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) have been leaked, showing numerous individuals who have infiltrated high-ranking positions in Western corporations and governments.
The leak of the register of 1.95 million CCP members was first reported by SkyNews Australia, which called it “the first leak of its kind.”
Transgender activist says all children should be put on puberty blockers until they can decide their gender
Lauren McNamara, known by followers as “Zinnia Jones,” argued earlier this month that children should be legally able to consent to the administration of puberty blockers since they already de facto consent to the “permanent and irreversible changes” that come naturally through puberty.
A New Warning That International Pandemic Responses Are Eroding Freedom
In a year of extraordinary and often terrible actions taken in response to COVID-19, yet another international civil society group warns that governments are leveraging the pandemic to tighten controls over their subjects. Ominously, it’s not the first such warning and comes as even traditionally liberal democratic countries step up surveillance of dissidents and crack down on public opposition.
Canada a bright light in a horrible year for refugee resettlement: UN refugee agency
With nearly 168 countries implementing border and travel restrictions, millions of displaced people around the globe were stuck, unable to either return to their home countries or move to others.
Canada, however, was one of only a few that did listen to urgent pleas from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, said Rema Jamous Imseis, the UNHCR’s Canadian representative.
Canada to contribute $485M to help developing countries cope with COVID-19
International Development Minister Karina Gould and Public Services and Procurement Minister Anita Anand announced the funding during a news conference in Ottawa today.
“The faster we can get tests, treatments and vaccines out to people, the sooner this pandemic can be contained. Canada’s support of global efforts to find successful medical solutions is a win for all,” Gould said in a prepared statement.
Canada’s teen transgender treatment boom: Life-saving services or dangerous experimentation?
As a rising number of young people seek help, some parents, mental health professionals and others are raising concerns about how they’re being treated.
Adobe Flash Player is going away – Take this important step now
“Since Adobe will no longer be supporting Flash Player after December 31, 2020 and Adobe will block Flash content from running in Flash Player beginning January 12, 2021, Adobe strongly recommends all users immediately uninstall Flash Player to help protect their systems,” Adobe said in an informational page about the software.
Another thing to keep in mind is cybercriminals will be out in full force, looking to infect your devices with malware and rip you off. If you receive any emails or see pop-up messages asking you to update Flash Player, do not click on them! It’s a scam.
The presidential election of 2020 has revealed America’s present state of social and spiritual chaos. It has also cast light on the paths we might choose going into the future. While we wait for the Georgia senatorial runoff that will begin that future in earnest, here is where we are right now.
There are two different world views in competition. The one that seems to be on the ascendant, calls itself by many names so it is hard to pin it down. Let me try. All of these various names have aggregated themselves under the “big tent” of the Democrat party. There is a kaleidoscope of ideologies from the Muslim Brotherhood to Greens and Communists but the three largest and most often cited groups are liberals, progressives and socialists. Leaving aside the serious and unresolved argument that liberal is not the correct term in any way for what passes for the ideologies that predominate in that party, there is one core belief that they all have in common. In one way or another, they believe that human life can be perfected through government.
