Ukraine targets Moscow with hundreds of drones on final day of Russian election

Ukraine has targeted Moscow and the surrounding region in a large-scale attack that involved hundreds of drones.

The attack killed at least three people and damaged what Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said was one of Russia’s “key oil industry facilities” on the final day of the country’s parliamentary elections, authorities said on Sunday.

Zelenskyy said that among the weapons used in the attack was the Pelican, initially thought to be a short-range ballistic missile, but which sources said later was a winged drone.

Canada Ready to Clawback Stellantis Cash Unless Production Resumes at Toronto-Area Factory

OTTAWA—Canada’s Industry Minister Melanie Joly reiterated Friday that Stellantis STLA -4.46%decrease; down pointing triangle could be on the hook for hundreds of millions in repayments to the government unless the company’s factory near Toronto resumes auto production.

The plant, in Brampton, Ontario, has been idle since 2024, and Stellantis is in advanced talks to sell that factory to a Canadian armored-car maker.

“That plant needs to reopen. We need a new model. If not we’ll get our money back,” said Joly, who has threatened to sue Stellantis to recoup cash that lawmakers gave the car maker to retool its factories in Brampton and Windsor, Ontario.

Nato welcomes Greenland deal as Trump says it will give US ‘permanent security control’

The US and Denmark have announced a deal on Greenland’s security, resolving a diplomatic dispute sparked by President Donald Trump’s threats to seize it by force.

Nato said the deal would help stabilise the region, as Trump said Denmark would grant the US “permanent control over security, and all other needs” in the semi-autonomous Danish territory in the Arctic.

The leaders of Denmark and Greenland welcomed the deal to “strengthen security”, saying it was expected to be signed next week – but did not outline its contents.

The Star says the Carney Regime finds the deal “encouraging”.

In real life that means the LPC will reduce arctic defense measures.

The mother of three and grandmother of five was booked into a county jail and remained there for almost four months without bail while awaiting extradition to North Dakota, where she was held for about two more months.
