Comedienne and former The View co-host Rosie O’Donnell is now admitting to having had a facelift despite calling the plastic surgery procedure a “betrayal” of feminism in the past.

Before the outspoken, left-wing comedienne lost 50 pounds she vowed to fans that she would not get a facelift to get rid of her sagging, excess skin. But after the weight loss, she did it anyway. And now she is calling it her “secret shame.”

Canada slipped into a technical recession on an annualized basis as economic growth stalled in 1st quarter

Canada’s economy contracted in the first quarter on an annualized basis by a slim margin, marking the second consecutive quarter of such decline — which some would call a technical recession.

Statistics Canada said real gross domestic product fell 0.1 per cent on an annualized basis in the first three months of this year. That comes after a downwardly revised contraction of one per cent in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Two consecutive quarters of contraction in economic growth is termed a technical recession.

Fonda announced her endorsement to TheWrap, to which Bass responded: “Jane Fonda has spent her life on the front lines — from civil rights to women’s rights to the fight for our climate — and I’m deeply honored to have her support.”

She is consistent I’ll give her that.

Trump holding meeting to make ‘final determination’ on Iran deal

US President Donald Trump has said he is holding a meeting to make a “final determination” about an agreement to extend a ceasefire with Iran.

He said Iran “must agree that they will never have a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb”, that the Strait of Hormuz must be reopened for “unrestricted shipping traffic, in both directions” and that any mines in the waterway “must be destroyed”.

“I will be meeting now, in the Situation Room, to make a final determination,” he said on Truth Social. Iran has not yet commented.

At the request of any premier, the allowable share of low-wage TFWs in rural workforces can be increased from 10% to 15%. So far, Manitoba, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia have opted in.

It is notable that most provinces have not chosen to avail themselves of the federal government’s offer to boost TFW numbers. The Canadian public’s support for immigration restriction shows few signs of cooling, and provincial governments are to some extent behaving accordingly.

Two Minnesota fraudsters allegedly swindled more than $21 million in funding earmarked for autism services through two bogus companies and then spent it lavishly on overseas property, officials said.

Shamso Ahmed Hassan, 55, and Hanaan Mursal Yusuf, 25, whose mugshots were released on Wednesday, made off like bandits by submitting millions of dollars in fake claims to Minnesota’s Early Intensive Development and Behavioral Intervention Program [EIDBI] between May 2020 and December 2024, authorities said.
