If readers are unaware of the reference, a post on X, addressed to a podcaster, Scott Fox, who was criticizing Tim Hortons’ abuse of the feds’ temporary foreign workers program (TFWP) in late May, received a response from the coffee shop itself, which indicated this message was a “misperception.”
I don’t believe a word they say.
DNI Gabbard Declassifies Evidence Showing US Has Continued to Fund Dangerous Biolabs Overseas, Despite Trump Ban
Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard on Friday declassified evidence showing that the United States government has funded more than 120 dangerous biolabs in over 30 countries, including 40 “especially dangerous” labs in war-torn Ukraine.
In a press release, the outgoing DNI stated that biolabs researching dangerous pathogens in Ukraine have been “at risk of compromise” due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.

In a statement celebrating the start of the World Cup, Prime Minister Mark Carney touted the economic benefits of the tournament, saying it is poised to yield thousands of new jobs and deliver billions in aid to Canada’s struggling economy.

China’s Ministry of State Security would like its citizens to be on the lookout for foreign spies, including, apparently, turtles.
The ministry claimed in a Friday WeChat post that foreign intelligence agencies were harvesting maritime data “through a variety of new spying devices” from the waters around China. Sensors attached to marine animals such as sea turtles and large fish were allegedly discovered “collecting sensitive marine environment data such as water temperature, salinity and ocean currents in real time, and transmitting them overseas via satellite.”

The RCMP is seeking access to messages and photos on a cellphone belonging to former Calgary mayor Jyoti Gondek as part of a corruption investigation that’s probing whether a planning consultant offered to pay city councillors in exchange for helping a rezoning application get passed, court documents show.
Federal Mounties publicly disclosed the investigation involving Ms. Gondek and David White – principal of CivicWorks, a company that helps developers navigate city hall – in a June 2 application to the Alberta Court of Justice that requests the extension of a warrant allowing investigators to keep the former mayor’s iPhone in police detention.
