Usual suspect arrested after attempting to cut Israeli kitchen tent at Edmonton Heritage Festival

A man was arrested after being thwarted from lunging with a knife toward an Israeli kitchen tent at the Edmonton Heritage Festival on Monday.

Social media footage circulating on Wednesday captured the shadow of an individual attempting to slash an Israeli tent with a knife. The footage then cut to security officers detaining the assailant in the main festival area as chants of “All the Zionists are racists” echoed in the background.

Spain is bracing for a possible second mass migrant crossing into Ceuta as the political fallout from last week’s unprecedented border breach spreads from Madrid to Brussels.

The Guardia Civil is closely monitoring social media messages calling on migrants to gather in the Moroccan border town of Castillejos on August 15 before attempting to enter the Spanish enclave.

Matthew Taub: A year later, what happened to Carney’s conditions for recognizing Palestine?

Matthew Taub: A year later, what happened to Carney’s conditions for recognizing Palestine?

Global Affairs Canada was asked to identify the conditions governing one of Canada’s most consequential foreign-policy decisions in decades. Did Ottawa establish benchmarks before recognizing Palestine? Which had been met? Was there a monitoring process, and what consequences would follow if the remaining commitments failed?

It could not name one, I know because I emailed them to ask.

PINDER: Freeland’s attack on Trump exposes the Liberal double standard on bullies

And we thought Chrystia Freeland and her strut were finally gone. Ensconced at Oxford, this former Rhodes Scholar is now CEO of an Oxford trust fund. This follows her leading role in former prime minister Justin Trudeau’s “Lost Decade.”

Her self-assuredness and years in the limelight have apparently entitled her, at a delicate time in the free trade negotiations, to attack Donald Trump as “a bully.” No argument there, but why?

Has her sensitivity to the dismal record increased? Is she protecting her close friend Carney? Is she missing the attention?

Dueling Court Orders Create ‘Men’s Prison Within A Women’s Federal Prison’

Dueling Court Orders Create ‘Men’s Prison Within A Women’s Federal Prison’

Dueling court orders regarding men who claim to be women serving time in federal prison have resulted the Department of Justice creating a sex-segregated wing in a women’s prison to house the men.

The Justice Department, through the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is seeking to transfer every male inmate claiming to be female in the country to one female-only prison — Federal Medical Center (FMC) Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas — after one federal judge blocked an executive order to remove “trans”-identifying men from female prisons, and another federal judge ordered those men to be segregated from the women.

Ceuta: The Time-Lapse Photo Of Western Collapse

Ceuta: The Time-Lapse Photo Of Western Collapse

I find time-lapse photography fascinating. One of my favorite examples is when someone in the far north points a camera at the North Star during winter and leaves it there overnight. The result is typically an image of silhouetted trees surrounding an array of circles made by the stars traveling across the sky as the Earth spins. Although that picture captures reality, there’s no moment when you could ever actually see it simply by looking up. It doesn’t actually exist as a single moment; it’s only by seeing the time-lapse that you can perceive it.

The WB-Paramount Lawsuit is About Dems Controlling the News Business

The WB-Paramount Lawsuit is About Dems Controlling the News Business

Being the ruling class means a complete lack of self-awareness. That’s about the only way to explain this Deadline article.

While Hollywood and states gave a pass to Amazon swallowing up MGM, there have been howls of outrage over David Ellison’s takeover of Paramount, along with CBS, followed by more howls over a deal with WB. Why was the Amazon + MGM deal fine? Back then at least, Jeff Bezos was still being a good liberal, and even afterwards, he’s had limited involvement with Amazon and the behemoth destroying the American retail sector is safely pushing woke garbage with its Amazon Prime video content.

It’s not ‘body shaming’ to worry about Ariana Grande’s appearance

It’s not ‘body shaming’ to worry about Ariana Grande’s appearance

Whatever the reason, it’s obvious to anyone with two eyes that Ariana Grande is too thin. The singer, who seems to have lost an extreme amount of weight in recent years, released a new music video, ‘Petal’, on Friday in which her starved frame is on full display. Her jutting breastbones, ribs and hollow eye sockets make for painful viewing, with many fans and commentators speculating on the star’s physical and mental health.

‘It took 16 hours’: About half of Google reviews of Canadian hospitals are negative, study finds

Many Canadians have not-so-fond memories of their hospital experiences, suggests a new study that found nearly half of online hospital reviews analyzed involved negative feedback.

A random sample of 1,000 Google review comments involving Canadian acute care hospitals from 2017 to 2022 found people were more likely to leave negative (47.9 per cent) than mixed (19.8 per cent) or positive (32.3 per cent) reviews.

Only half?

Former Vancouver Mayor Says a British Columbia Cabinet Minister Is Under Active Investigation Over China Links, and That Carney Government Is Not Acting on Foreign Interference

VANCOUVER – Kennedy Stewart, the former mayor of Vancouver, says a sitting member of British Columbia’s cabinet is the subject of an active investigation over alleged links to the Chinese government, and that Canada’s federal and provincial leadership, including Premier David Eby, know that foreign interference has reached into the country’s institutions and are not acting on it — a failure Stewart says extends to what he describes as a sustained attack on his own 2022 mayoralty campaign, mounted from inside a foreign consulate and from a radio transmitter placed beyond the reach of Canadian regulators
