Brussels police unleash water cannon, tear gas & drones as THOUSANDS gather for April Fools’ prank turned ‘freedom rally’

A “festival” at Bois de la Cambre in Brussels began as an April Fools’ prank on social media, and ended with police using tear gas and water cannon to disperse several thousand partygoers defying the Covid-19 lockdown.

Around 5,000 mainly young people showed up at the forest park just south of Brussels on Thursday, for an event called “La Boum” (a reference to a 1980s French teen rom-com) even though it was obviously an April 1 prank.

NDP to debate phasing out Canada’s Armed Forces at policy convention

The policy resolution titled “Elimination of the Canadian Armed Forces” was submitted by the party’s Spadina-Fort York Electoral District Association (EDA).

It claims that “in a world with a globalized economy traditional militaries are becoming increasingly unnecessary” and points to other countries like Costa Rica and Iceland which have allegedly “abolished their armies.”

Please tell me this article was an April Fool’s joke.

For over four decades the Hardcore Gang Investigation Unit has been tasked with prosecuting the city’s most serious and violent gang-related crimes.

But the County District Attorney’s Office has decided to downsize and rename the unit which has been praised by BLM activists but criticized by prosecutors.

‘Female Force: Jill Biden,’ which comes with a matching coloring book, will be 22 pages long and is expected to focus on her life and accomplishments. The ‘female force’ series is focused on inspiring women.

China generated over half world’s coal-fired power in 2020: study

SHANGHAI (Reuters) – China generated 53% of the world’s total coal-fired power in 2020, nine percentage points more that five years earlier, despite climate pledges and the building of hundreds of renewable energy plants, a global data study showed on Monday.

… China’s coal-fired generation rose by 1.7% or 77 terawatt-hours, enough to bring its share of global coal power to 53%, up from 44% in 2015, the report showed.

China has promised to reduce its dependence on coal and bring emissions of climate-warming greenhouse gas to a peak before 2030 and become “carbon neutral” by 2060.

China promised? Only idiots like Justin or Biden could believe that crap.
